In my area there are tons of reservists who use it for an education and extra income while serving at the same time so its win win.  They would never want the life style career service offers and it wouldn’t work for them.

Joining solely for financial and educational opportunities isn’t really serving. Shit’s whack. That’s like “I’m too lazy to get a scholarship so YOLO I’ll go to summer camp and play army guys 2 months a year”. Still better than doing nothing, but don’t go actin like it’s the same as actually serving for the sake of your country.
