I find cross dressing creepy.  Here is the thing if you identify as a woman and dress as such and act as such cool…. 

But we got a 90 year old dude that hangs out at Walmart near me.  He is dirty,  wears panty hose without shaving his legs,  has a beard and always wears skirts with his balls hanging low enough he could play hacky sack with them. 

Am I a bigot for this?  He creeps me the fuck out.   

What about him creeps you out? If you can physically see his testicles and that is what bothers you, there might be some homophobia behind it but it is generally considered unacceptable to have your genitals out in public so you might just be a prude?

If it is specifically his dress habits, I can’t really say. Do you think men should dress a certain way? If so, why? 

That person might be gender non conforming as a way of rejecting prescriptive gender roles. Like iggy pop.

Naw, dude creeps you out cause he sounds creepy. Cross dressing isn’t an excuse to be dirty and let your balls hang in Walmart.

Btw, cross dressing and being trans are two different things. Like, both clinically and culturally those are two different things. Even if you drop the “trans is a mental illness” line (which is questionable at best) it’s still two different things. One is a person choosing to wear clothes that are traditionally considered typical for a gender that isn’t theirs and one is a “mental illness”. 

POSITIVE NOTE:

We have a cross dresser prosty that patrols our street every once in awhile and he’s pleasant as fuck to talk to. Dude just happens to wear a dress and make up. Doesn’t even hit me up for smokes, which is rare for prostitutes around here. He has some crazy stories, most of which boil down to ” super straight, alpha male, homophobes loves the cock on Saturdays”.

Black isn’t the only color, queer isn’t just gay. 

I don’t “just” care how they are treated but if you would spit on a homeless queer kid of color why shouldn’t I spit on you? How you treat the kids who hit the most intersections of oppression is just the bare minimum of decency. Everything else builds up from there. 

Their project might be for both, but they certainly think of one above the other and it makes you proud.

Back on topic. 

Rob  , I am not surprised if that church is in fact Methodist.  My Church and the Methodist Church here have very close ties. The problem with Christianity is when people forget the basic principle of loving each other and become snobby bigoted people who only care about themselves. 

My grandfather used to say ” anything humans get involved in gets tainted and corrupted eventually “.  

So I swung by there today and they are actually Baptist which i didn’t know is different from southern Baptist. They tried to explain it to me but it’s all over my head. 

I’m totally cool with people being religious as long as they don’t use it to hurt other people, but i do find your grandpas quote to be pretty accurate. 

I, uh, I don’t think they have a problem finding tampons, more like paying for tampons… I’m sure Rob would give all of those MEN jobs if he could. But not the women. Because he hates them.
