scottie d just got back to me about the moderator question.
the implication of his message was that hed be willing to grant moderator status to one or more additional persons, hopefully leading to some better balance.
i told him we would roundtable it here, within the forum, and attempt to get a overall opinion, amongst all of us [well, all the regulars], as to what we want done.
im not posting the actual message, but i suppose i could, if we need to see it.
sooo… thoughts, ideas, and a minimum of shittalk, please.

I think it’s obvious we need a new moderator, if one were willing to step up and do it. I can deal with dude calling me a faggot, and his other favorite, retard, as I sling insults around as well. We just need a moderator who wouldn’t delete shit at his leisure. I wouldn’t mind seeing you as moderator.

I'd rather see Scruffy, Lucem, Punkrockjuggalo or somebody who won't abuse that stuff be moderator. But at the same time i'm skeptical of another rapper/musician getting that stuff. We just seen how it went down last night.

Punkrockjuggalo, lucem, slumerican, illtheclown, scruffy, anyone would be better really. I’m not worried about it being another musician, as most people can take criticism. Just because warlock can’t/won’t take criticism doesn’t mean someone else wouldn’t be able to. I’ve seen other musicians get criticized out here and they don’t go off their rockers. Actually, some of the musicians out here are pretty decent. It’s kind of ironic the wost rapper on the site is a moderator at the moment, and that’s not shittalking, that’s fact. I’ve said it before, he doesn’t moderate a website, he moderates cock and balls. Poorly at that.

scottie seems to be disinclined to demote warlock. this is, in essence, the first negatives the hes heard about him directly. also, they are [presumably] having their own dialogue about it right now. no telling how thatll go.
regarding myself, if i were to be moderating, i suppose it would be fine in the short term, but im not necessarily the long term solution. the primary snag here, is that i have no guarantee of having internet access, it could literally be cut off without much in the way of warning.
if i was a mod, theres a chance that i could abruptly vanish, and then the forum is in the same boat that its in now.
also, for real, to step out from under my own ego for a moment, id have to adjust my style a bit, to be, you know, less of a jerk. not that the warlock did any adjusting, but then, thats why were here.
i'm skeptical of another rapper/musician getting that stuff.
i gotta agree. again, look at the current situation. self promotion without the slightest accountability.
i also gotta say, though, that [as ive pointed out] im basicly a retired rapper. i wasnt doin any promoting before, it wouldnt be no thang to forego it in the future.

i should state, as the rappers go, i honestly do not believe that you [lucem] would be an ego problem, and id expect that your self promotion would be kept at a tasteful level, without much in the way of bitchness. basicly where youre at with it now.
