I bet the website traffic started to die right around the time ICP decided they were done with touring nationwide.

The current PSY business model seems to be pimping out the few thousand diehards out there, as opposed to spending years in the studio perfecting a dope new Jokers Card and then trying to sell 100,000 copies.

The second deck started dope but is stumbling to the finish line.

Oh and Shaggy has low key let it be known on his podcast that he can't stand hanging out with the current version of Violent J.

Hence the weird solo tours he is doing this year around the Gathering instead if going out proper as ICP.

What's an example of something Shaggy has said that indicates he can't stand hanging out with J?

Well, he was purposely very vague about what he's referring to, so it's easy to assume it's probably J. With Shaggy being an addict himself and has gone through recovery, I could definitely understand him needing not hang around J when J is at his worst or doing things Shaggy has put in his past. Pure speculation of course, but, it would made pretty good sense.

Right, well I'm sure it's all of the above. Just from seeing Shaggy over the last 5-10 years in interviews, but especially on his Shaggy and Kreep show and other social media things Shaggy does, you can tell he really takes his marriage and family life seriously and is committed to his sobriety.  And that's really good on him, seems like he's obviously supportive of J and has love for him still, but understands part of that nowadays includes having some distance when its impeding on Shaggy's priorities. Again, all speculation, but, seems to add up. 

I really do think it's time Shaggy becomes more of the "leader" or at least has a more equal share in his contributions to ICP. He's just much more on his game nowadays and he's outshined J on the last couple of Joker Cards in the quality and delivery of his verses. So while J has been going through personal troubles and has seemed to not really "grow up", Shaggy's actually improved. I definitely do not believe J ever "held down" Shaggy, I think Shaggy just flat out doesn't come up with as much material and he's Ok with that. But now could be the time he really is needed to step up if they have any hope of actually completing the 3 sets of Joker Cards or even coming close to it.
