I don’t know if little boys have anything to rejoice about, last I checked the pope wasn’t accused of ever molesting anybody. It’s a given the pope protects the priests who are accused of doing such things, but the new pope will just do the same thing. I don’t have it in me to insult the pope, I have enough shit to worry about without adding lightening to the list. I will say it is certainly disturbing how many priests get accused of this, especially since almost all claims seem to be true. It’s a troubling thought, but what’s more troubling is how the catholic church does almost nothing about it. They just transfer the priest, when he should be prosecuted like anyone else doing these crimes. Priests should not have immunity when they do horrifying things to children who look up to tnem. Not only do they avoid prosecution, they get transferred to another location where there are still children all around them, and they almost always become repeat offenders. This is my main problem with the church, even though I do realize that if they prosecuted or ex-communicated every priest accused of such crimes it would be really hard to find someone to say mass. It seems that more priests keep getting accused of these crimes, and I see the church doing almost nothing to prevent it. It’s not a good thing.

oh, its not that they do nothing about it.

when one of these cases pops up, the whole bureaucracy kicks into high gear… to limit damage, cover up, and do whatever they can to get out of the news again.

they need to throw the sick fucks under the bus already.  its long overdue.

I agree with that wholeheartedly. The people who cover it up are just as bad as the people doing the crimes themselves. It’s not just a few random priests in a few random parts of the world. This is a big problem in the catholic church and it needs to be addressed and taken care of, not covered up so the same priest can go and do the same shit again, which almost always is the case. I grew up in the catholic church, and do have a strong belief in God. The same belief they taught us about the catholic church setting an example and being there for others in their time of need, seems to not be the case at all. I don’t like admitting the church I grew up to believe in does these things, but it certainly does seem to be the case. Over and over and over again. It’s shameful, and a major problem. My faith in God has not eroded, my faith in the catholic church, has.

Ill have to agree most Catholics don’t and have been taught to not support or cover it up. I think most of it is to get out of the media but its not just Catholics baptists do it Lutherans do it, Catholics just catch shit cuz it is taught to not condone it and when it happens its a chance to try in like holes in a 2000 year old faith. Plus most don’t understand the Catholic Church is its own entity so they technically can punish there priests since they are apart of the Catholic Church. Same with war it’s not condoned but if your country goes into an u just war technically you don’t have to serve to kill or support what goes against your belief. Idk some things to think about

id be happy to let the priests escape the law and punish themselves, if the punishment was, say, setting the bastards on fire.  or disembowelment.

but historically, the catholic church reserves that sort of treatment for people that dont deserve it.

I find it strange that Pat won't insult the Pope because he's afraid of being attacked by god. Isn't it known that worshiping false idols is a sin? I'm not Christian nor a Catholic and I hate both faiths equally as much as I hate their ideas of god, but isn't it a big rule for them that no mortal man should be praised as a god? So, if your faith is true, then praising the pope like that is kind of a sin. He is committing the bigger of the two by demanding people's praise.

There is so much to this stuff that just doesn't make sense to me, but for now I speak only about how people treat religious figures like preachers, priests, nuns and the pope like they are holier than us. They shouldn't be, as any Christian religion teaches, praised the way that they are. It's blasphemy, they are only mere mortal men. Hell, you're not even supposed to worship angels. Only God and Christ because Christ is God.

Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Oh, and do you think some of these preachers look at King Gordy and say, “studio pedo”?
