Devilz Nite Compilation Returns This Year!

Underground Legend Menacide (RIP) founded the Devilz Nite compilation in 2003 to give back to the all fans who support the horror rap scene year after year.  And now, Crossworm (Dirtcore Music) has announced the return of the influential Wicked Underground mixtape  Devilz Nite for the 2024 Halloween season! Here is the official press release!

“DEVILZ NITE: RESURRECTION begins”

March 16, 2024. Grand Rapids, Michigan USA.

“Nothing ever replaced it, or came close to it.  And to me, the underground seemed more unified in the Devilz Nite years.  It would be dope to see that kind of community again.” Crossworm stated regarding his recent decision to bring back the world’s biggest, best, and longest running annual horrorcore / wickedshit mixtape.

Crossworm recalls, “When Menacide started the series in 2003, it was invite only, but the idea was to give back to the fans for their support all year.  I started helping him organize it in 06, and helped him choose the track list.  By 07 I was already choosing the whole track list, and I took over publicly in 2009.”

The series began with humble beginnings in the form of random tracks in various file formats, haphazardly named.  The album was available as a zip file for download each year until Crossworm brought the series into the pre-streaming and social media era, standardized the process.

Crossworm pressed a final collector’s edition of Devilz Nite 2012 before retiring the series.

“Every year since 2012, artists and fans contact me about bringing Devilz Nite back.  Nothing ever really took its place and I think it might be time to bring it back better than ever.”
