This weekend, Violent J was on-hand at the 75th anniversary show for the NWA!  For those who don’t know, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan owns the wrestling organization, and Violent J was invited to be a part of this monumental outing!

J wrote the theme song for the Brothers of Funstruction, a clown wrestling duo consisting of Yabbo and Ruffo The Clown.  They went head-to-head and defeated Magnum Muscle and later challenged the duo La Rebelion and Vampiro to a match.

So now that you know how the event played out, check out some more info about Corgan and Violent J’s friendship.  Corgan had apparently worked with Laney Chantal (RIP) and found out that J was in a long-term relationship with her when she passed.  They would speak occasionally, and eventually, Violent J getting involved with Corgan’s wrestling organization just kind of happened organically.

It seems like this new side gig for Violent J could turn into something long-term!  Hopefully those who watched dug what he brought to the event, and we’ll get to see more from him and the Brothers of Funstruction in the near future!
