This is a really lame way to explain what I mean but I don’t have the energy to articulate is better:

This sounds like a real song. More so than anything icp (group or solo) has released in a really long time. I imagine it won’t be loved by many because they want something outrageous but this is a really solid sound. Good for him.

This is better than anything on Bloody Sunday, for me. It’s not even close.

When I was younger I used to think J was the better rapper of the two (and at times he’s dope with his story telling *Wizard of the Hood*) but man… Shaggy is so consistent. Always good or at least not hard to listen to. His FTFO album was incredible.
His rhyming never feels lazy where I find (especially lately) Violent J feels like he’s phoning it in at times.
Good tune – I’m sure it won’t be the best track though. Looking forward to the rest.

I think the biggest difference is the influences. J has become more and more influenced by rock music as the years have gone by and seems to be really pushing to be part of that crowd and shaggy is clearly, highly influenced by hip hop and rap so when shaggy is writing his own shit and he has more control over the content, it’s way more fitting. He always picks better beats and has a better production direction. JIm convinced J doesn’t even like rapping anymore. He just wants to sing.

    Could be.
I just think Shaggy has gotten better and better over the years and youre absolutely right. His beats are really good usually. He’s also (somewhat) a DJ so production matters to him too.
Off topic but the Monoxide Chainsmoker album is a great example of aaaaawful beats lol
Not a bad album but could have been way better with different beats

This song is dope. It almost to me has an old school feel. Not in the sense of old school hip hop but old school juggalo. Really solid track and much better than anything j has put out as of late. Can’t wait for the album and the tour cuz i wanna see this live. 💯 on🔥. 2 whoops

This is fresh. This sounds how ICP should sound. Props to Shaggy for keeping that sound alive!

Shaggs w another banger. I like this track, it’s dope. Maybe Shaggy should be in charge of the next joker card and the 3rd deck, he’s proven himself more capable as of late.
