There’s an article today at MetalSucks.net that talks about ICP‘s recent cancellation of a show in San Diego. For the first half of the brief article, MetalSucks co-founder Axl Rosenberg keeps things pretty civil, stating why the show had to be canceled due to the venue not wanting Faygo thrown.
He then posted the Twitter/Facebook feeds from ICP and POD restating the reasons.
Then, that’s where the venom started spewing. The entire last paragraph says that ICP fans are inbreds, and how ICP themselves are assholes. Keep in mind that this is 4 days after the show’s cancellation. Here’s what was said:

Man, if I were an ICP fan or a POD fan, I’d be really pissed — and not just because my daddy and my uncle are the same person. I understand that a crowd accustomed to ending their evening sticky with saccharin and artificial flavoring might feel let down if they went to an ICP show and had nothing save for the music to keep them entertained, the same way I would feel let down if I went to a GWAR show and none of the band members jizzed, pissed, or shat on anyone in the audience. Still, when I think about the lengths to which some devoted musicians have gone not to miss shows, this just seems like the billionth example of how ICP are idiots and assholes. I mean, if Robb Flynn can stand on stage and shit himself so as not to let his fans down, surely, these nitwits can forego one night of making it rain cheap soda, no?
My question is: Why even bother covering ICP on your website if you hate them that much? The only thing I ever see on there is negativity towards ICP and Juggalos. I think this is the same site where a poll is up asking their readers who has the worst name for their fans. I’m guessing he’s a disgruntled former fan judging by all of the negative attention he gives them. Anyways, see the article for yourselves at this link!

The boss wouldn’t let me off work for the San Diego show so I missed it. Had no idea it was cancelled, now I don’t feel so bad, I selfishly admit.

While its possible that the clean-up was part of the reason for the cancellation, it is undeniable it was actually because of sales. For two reasons- ICP has a few dates this tour in the Socal area, three of them are within 120 miles of each other, it is very conceivable that this venue did not sell as well as the others, and, if this venue had sold out, do you think the show would have been cancelled? No way! No promoter, manager or band would turn down a full house paycheck.
