I was sad to have to announce that REHAB would be embarking on what looks to be their final tour as a group a few weeks back. While it’s cool that they’re hitting so many cities, the fact that we’re faced with them never touring again flat out SUCKS! All kinds of dates are posted already, and will be in our events section soon! For now, you need to check this post out, and make SURE that you go and see them when they come to a city near you. There are 49 cities scheduled, so wherever you live, they shouldn’t be playing all that far away! Now, here’s the press release from RehabMusic.com:
REHAB Announces “2014 Farewell Tour” Dates
Nationwide 49-City Tour Kicks Off January 30, 2014
NASHVILLE, TN (December 16, 2013) – Average Joes Entertainment/Backroad Records’ band, REHAB, will say a final goodbye appearing in 49 cities nationwide. The “2014 Farewell Tour” kicks off January 30 in Columbus, Georgia. After a decade-long run performing more than 150 shows per year, REHAB has entertained hundreds of thousands of fans.Even though the band won’t be performing together after the farewell tour, Danny Boone and Demun Jones plan to release solo projects in the New Year. As a thank you to their loyal fans, the band will host a post-show meet and greet in every city. In addition, a sneak peek of new music coming from both band members will be revealed in the coming days.
“Our fans have been so loyal throughout the years,” commented Danny Boone and Demun Jones. “We are so excited to get back out there on the road and play the hits, as well as some of the new music that we have both been working on.”
From Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker to Linkin Park and Kottonmouth Kings, the band has toured with some of music’s biggest stars. REHAB emerged from Atlanta’s hot music scene in 2000 with their debut album, “Southern Discomfort,” which yielded a Top 15 Modern Rock hit with, “It Don’t Matter.” Other hits that soon followed include “Bartender Song,” and “Welcome Home,” the latter garnering a CMT Music Video Award nomination for “Wide Open Country Video of the Year.”
