For those of you who may not have known, ABK’s Summer Jam 2 Tour kicked off last night in Buffalo, NY, and Faygoluvers was on location! Not only was I given the opportunity to perform, I also got the chance to sit with ABK and Bake Lo for a few minutes and catch up. I strongly suggest you peep the video, but for those of you without the capability, let me give you a brief rundown:
- ABK will be on tour all month, Axe murder Boys will be joining the tour next week
- There’s speculation of another Drive By tour, Holiday tours and other top secret projects he couldn’t talk about
- His next album, Shapeshifter, is coming along nicely
- He recently bought 10 acres of creepy woods and would like to shoot a horror film (He has a great concept, watch the video for more details)
- He commented on Twiztid and Blaze’s departure from Psychopathic, said there’s nothing but love, and think of it not as them leaving the family, but rather them just moving out of the house
- He discusses keeping it real, following your dreams and not letting negativity get in your way
- ABK also introduces Bake Lo, a young homie from Verbal Abuse Records who’s been touring the length of the Summer Jam 2 since the first leg.
- Bake Lo discusses the album he has out plus his next album he’s working on
Now this isn’t your typical interview. We discuss a lot more than the business listed above, we also talk about politics and taxes, growing organic food, plus we get a visit from our “waitress” who freaks Jim out with his balloon trick. I feel like after all these years ABK’s stage set up should be a lil more elaborate..Jesus christ,Psychopathic cant hook the homie up?Id say out of all the acts left,Killa has the best Live show.He’s always good hittin his vocals,and his setlist is always tight.Hate to say it,But ABK should just split.Psychopathic doesnt seem to be helping him any.

ABK never does semi-big venues unless he’s with the clowns. That’s not a bad thing though, Killa puts it down live. IDK if Psychopathic supports him for his live shows at all. He’s a fuckin hustler though and I think he’d rather do it on his own.

I put the last minute of his set at the end of the interview.. I didn’t personally get much of his set recorded as my battery was charging to get ready for the interview, but I know people there did, so I put the word out to my homies for them to send it to me, because I wanted to do a Tour review for the show.. So hopefully that happens soon!
