That syringe was comically large, and 75% air. Kind of took me out of my suspension of disbelief. That’s kind of a picky point. Positives: I like the ultra wide angle look he has used, very cinematic. J sounds good on the hook. To be honest I had a pretty rad childhood so the theme didn’t speak to me as much but maybe this will appeal to people that can relate. I’m sure the whole disc won’t be all, for lack of a better word, “crybaby” type shit. Once the thread for this video surfaces I still might offer a deeper critical analysis of production after a few more viewings.

Just got back a lil bit ago with my copy of Crystal Skulls from my local record shop, bout to pop that shit in and check it out. can’t really say I like it or not just yet as so far I only heard the two videos. it don’t drop till the 2nd, but the shop near me regularly put out their cds a couple days early. normally the friday before the street date. I’m pretty well known there seems how I been going there since I was a kid but I have no special privilages or anything like that lol just what they do.
I’ve listen to it two times through now and I gotta say I’m fucking loving it. even the main song I wasn’t really digging (Spells) had me bobbing my head by the end of the track. it’s kinda hard to pick a favorite track right now, I think the whole cd is pretty fresh. I really don’t wanna give too much information though.
on a side note, I swear the symbols in the spine of the CD case says something, I’m fucking determined to figure it out. then again it could be nothing.

I can wait til the day or the day before to download it for free! I just bought A World Upsidedown after I downloaded it. if Crystal Skull is good I will buy it. I bought Dayton Familys cd and I was pissed they left or got dropped from the label
