DJ Clay’s journey is starting off in June when he joins ABK for the “Underground Summer Jam 2” Tour. Then following that in July, he’ll be hosting the “Scratch The Surface” Tour with MARS!! I think DJ Clay has a place at shows. He’s great in the capacity to keep the momentum going between performers… but a headlining tour? I just don’t see the point. He does not spin vinyl or use turntables, that Pioneer deck he uses is a glorified dual CD player. It’s not turntablism or art it’s just a grown man swaying back and forth hitting pads and turning dials on a giant CD player. That’s fun and all to watch when your waiting for an artist to set up but headlining a tour? Who’s paying for this type of tripe? Not me.

ABK has handled almost all of his own stuff since he returned to Psychopathic.. Booking, promoting, etc. He also has artists that are signed to his Native World Inc. I had a chance to chill with him in his hotel room a couple years back, he has a very friendly and dedicated team. Psychopathic is the one who pays ABK’s bills, but ABK still calls most of his own shots.
