Exclusive interview with KMK’s Daddy X with response from Kevin Zinger of Sub Noize!

A few hours ago, we posted a brand new 40 minute interview with Brad “Daddy” X of the KottonMouth Kings.  Shortly afterwards, we received word from Kevin Zinger of Suburban Noize Records that he wanted a chance to respond to all of the allegations that Brad spoke of in the interview.  We posted one side of the story, so we can’t shelve the other side of it.  In case you missed Big Ian‘s original post about it, you can listen to the Daddy X interview here:

Now keep in mind, if you haven’t listened to that yet, Daddy X went out on a limb, and against his lawyer’s wishes, gave his side of the KMK / Suburban Noize conflict to us.  In short, he claims that Kevin Zinger, who is co-founder of Suburban Noize Records, will not show him the financial books to make sure that the other artists are getting paid. This is the biggest issue he brought up, but some of the smaller ones include not getting paid for repping the SRH clothing line for the past 15 years, being locked out of a label that he co-owns, taking ownership of domain names without the artists’ knowledge, and more.

Well of course there are two sides to every story.  Kevin Zinger took some time to put together this video responding to just about everything Daddy X spoke of, and even included some documentation from lawyer interactions that have happened recently between the two parties.  That documentation is actually part of the video, so you can see that when you check the video response out.  He also shows screen shots of all of the emails to the complete Sub Noize roster, talks about how his lawyers have had access to all the books in the SubNoize office, and how the lawsuit came about.

Now, here’s the video response from Zinger addressing Daddy X’s allegations:

So who’s telling the truth?  Do both of them have valid points?  Do you think there’s falsities in both statements?  That’s why we’re trying to help hash it all out.  You decide and comment about what you think after giving both an honest listen.

Finally, we’d like to thank both Brad “Daddy” X and Kevin Zinger for being so forthcoming about all of this, and using FLH as their forum.  We have and will continue to strive to put out both sides of the story so as to show no bias, and let the fans decide for themselves.  Much love to both of you, and thanks to everyone reading for your support!

    my impression…
brad, et al, wanted to be a rock star and not have to worry much about business shit, and it bit him in the ass.
kevin, et al, wanted to run a business his way, and not worry much about how about how the artists saw it, and it bit him in the ass.
this will likely have to be settled by a bunch of lawyers who are ecstatic to be so well paid for wasting so much time, or worse, a courtroom full of even dumber people, who have no interest in it at all.

Zinger said a lot of fukd up shit like he would rather settle this out of court.Why-(I speculate because he is lying, he shouldnt be affraid to go to court if hes not lying)
He also said that he went over artists books in two hours..-shit hrblock cant do taxes in two hours.
And that they left happy with a check…was the check a bribe or back pay.
And i dont want to talk shit about anyone of the dope ass artists on the label but if you really are not formilliar with legal terminology and mathmatical equations of crazy proportions then a shiesty conartist/fast talker can quickly confuse the shit out of you.
Leave it to the accountants and Lawyers.
    Long Live the Kings!
