The wicked clowns have had a few references in the news recently!  Some are harmless, while others connect Juggalos to some serious accusations. We’ll start off with something on the lighter side.

The first article we’ve got to tell you about is from SPIN Magazine. They did a story about musicians who were a part of the “anti Youtube” movement because they made songs that were longer than the time that Youtube allows for uploads.  One of the tracks mentioned, of course, was the hour-long remake of “Freaky Tales“!  Here’s the reference:

Longer-than-a-pop-song hip-hop tracks are generally either somebody showing off their stamina as a stunt (like Too $hort’s nine-and-a-half-minute “Freaky Tales” in 1987; or Insane Clown Posse‘s ridiculous hour-long variation on its theme released this year), or a lot of MCs each taking a turn at the mic. The most entertaining posse cut of this year was Odd Future’s ten-minute-plus “Oldie,” on which the lesser parts are part of the fun because they’re lesser — especially the appearance of “not even a rapper” Jasper Dolphin, which immediately precedes the very welcome return of Earl Sweatshirt.

Next up, a real piece-of-shit of a human made a Twitter account that poked fun at the elementary school shooting in Connecticut.  They were saying some vile things, and a do-gooder hacker actually put a stop to it.  The bad part is that the Hacker found out that the perpetrator was a fan of ICP (I’m sure among MANY other groups that they failed to mention). Here’s an excerpt from the Discovery.com article:

An hour later, the Jester had linked the offensive account to an Indiana college student who worked at Dairy Queen and liked the horror-rap group Insane Clown Posse — and @z0mb13d had been suspended by Twitter.

Meanwhile in Montana, there was rumor that a school shooting was going to happen in Missoula county this Friday, December 21st.  There was no merit to any of these rumors, but apparently the most specific thing they got was that it would be carried out by a local gang.  Guess what the gang is called?

Parce said the post had hundreds of comments, and a recurring theme of the rumor was that the shooting was being planned by members of a local gang that calls itself the Insane Clown Posse.

Jack White is back in the news, and of course they mention his relation to the Insane Clown Posse.  He will make a cameo appearance on a show called “Portlandia” for their Christmas episode.  This is the ICP tie-in:

After talking about the experience of recording at Third Man and listening to Insane Clown Posse in White’s car, Reilly explained that the former White Stripes frontman has a natural ability for acting.

The final, and by far scariest article I’ve got to tell you about comes from a Bartlesville, OK publication called the Examiner-Enterprise. A kid from Bartlesville High School named Sammie Chavez allegedly made threats to lure students into the cafeteria, chain up the doors, and shoot everybody inside.  You can read more about the plot right here. As of right now, Sammie’s FB page is still online, and among the hundreds of likes and interests, the Insane Clown Posse and other related Juggalo sites are listed.  Here’s what was pulled from the article:

The Facebook page also expresses affinity for the controversial hip-hop duo, the Insane Clown Posse, listing himself as a “juggalo” and identifying with several fan sites.

So there you have it.  Mostly shit that doesn’t shine us in a very positive light.  We’ve gotta let you know about it though!
