Guess who’s coming to your town in 2013?  You probably know it from the headline, but Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope are currently gearing up to go out on the biggest tour in Insane Clown Posse history!   It’s SO big, in fact, that they decided to put out a special edition of the Hatchet Herald to cover it!  They have touted it to be a Worldwide Tour, spanning from Spring 2013 all the way through the end I assume! They may even play your town twice!  In fact, this is so big that I’m just gonna post the news about the tour here:

ICP’s Largest Tour Ever hits the road in 2013

With the release of the Insane Clown Posse’s most highly anticipated album, The Mighty Death Pop, it has brought around a lot of questions about touring. WHEN is the Insane Clown Posse going to hit the fuckin’ road for a Tour? WHERE are they going to be playing? HOW MANY dates will they be playing? WHAT the fuck is really goin’ on? There has even been rumors about the clowns not touring at all for this album. Well, rumors are like buttholes… they’re everywhere… they’re mostly full of shit… and some of them are mad blew out of proportion. Fear not, Ninjas! In this SUPER FREEKY SPECIAL EDITION of the Hatchet Herald we’ve got all the answers to those questions and plenty more!

First, let’s clear somethin’ up real quick. This special addition Herald is extra dope because this info has NEVER been released anywhere else… UNTIL NOW, BITCH. Ninjas have been wonderin’ why the Insane Clown Posse didn’t hop out on tour right when The Mighty Death Pop album dropped.

Here’s the thing, there WAS a major tour booked and ready to be announced. Not just any tour either! This one was going to be a MAJOR co-headlining tour with another BIG NAMED BAND that was going to cover twenty-five dates, nationwide in November. We were dying to announce the big news. Every day we asked the other band if we could finally spill the beans, but they kept saying, hold on! Wait! We got one more little thing to take care of and blaaah blaaah blaah. Unfortunately, suddenly the whole shit fell through. The other big named band had to postpone for some dumb reason, and so it was good bye to all those sweet ass, big ass arenas we were about to rock!

That totally fuckin sucked for ICP because they just dropped Death Pop and were dying to hit the stage. Well all we could do then was begin the long process of starting over and booking our own damn tour. Like we should of done in the first place! That sucks. We’re still cool with the other band, and we understand shit happens, but because we had just dropped that Death Pop, the sudden change of plans fuckin’ sucked especially for ICP!

SO, with no tour in the last quarter of 2012, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope had to sit back and think about just how they were going to make their next tour totally unforgettable. Well, it didn’t take long at all for them to come up with a game plan and we’ve got the full details for you!

The major news is that ICP is now launching their own tour. Not just any fuckin tour, but the massive and exciting Mighty Death Pop World Tour!! It’s going to last all throughout 2013!! YOU READ THAT RIGHT! This tour is going to stretch from Spring 2013 when it begins all the way until the bus wheels burn down to the axles. This tour will consist of the most tour dates in ICPs history! This tour will even run longer than ICP’s Wicked Clowns From Outer Space Tour which kept the boyz out for a whopping 8 Months back in 1999. The Mighty Death Pop tour will crush that. This is one for the Hatchet History books! ICP is going to tour, and stay out pounding the pavement for all of 2013 and then some.

This means they will be hitting the most cities possible! ICP won’t just be hitting the top clown towns! They’ll be getting into all the nooks and crannies nationwide! They’ll sweep through once hitting all the big venues! Then they’ll come back around a second time playing the smaller venues! Then they’ll come back a third time and play your basements! They’ll be playin’ them all to make sure no one is left out!

Considering this is going to be the longest and biggest tour of their careers, Shaggy and J are comin’ absolutely correct! They are goin’ to be hittin’ the stage with a completely brand new set! Just like they announced at the ICP seminar at last year’s GOTJ, The MDP tour will be a whole brand new experience for everyone. There will be a new set, new stage, new lighting, new skits, tricks and tactics and new mother fuckin’ every thing. If you’ve seen ICP 100 times, you’ll be interested to know that officially you ain’t seen shit yet. ICP has never been one of those bands who use the same stage set for years on end anyway. ICP always changes their shows to fit the themes of every tour, but for the enormous Mighty Death Pop Tour, they are completely re-writing the entire flow of the show!

In addition to a brand new, monstrous stage set design, they’ll also be comin’ armed with a totally brand new set list! They will be diggin’ deep into the archives of ICP’s baddest and best, right along with plenty of brand new Death Pop cuts including selections from all 3 bonus albums. It’ll feature those wicked clown classics that you HAVE to hear at a live show. But they’ll also have joints that you’ve NEVER heard live and have always craved! It’ll be peelin’ down your face piece and slappin’ you right in the naked skull with flavor!

We can’t tell you just yet, who will be joining ICP on this world wide, yearlong journey… but we can promise you they will make your head and brain spin until Hatchetmen pop up in your eyes causing a jackpot of gold coins to come flowing out of your mouth.
