There’s a new article that was posted by GuardianLV.com that asks how the new ICP album “The Mighty Death Pop” fits in with the rest of their catalog. What is the overall consensus from the journalist who wrote the article? Actually, it’s quite good! He says that as with all artists who are this far along int he game, J and Shaggy lack some of the raw emotion that made their first few releases so great. However, this is what was said upon first listen:
A quick listen through The Mighty Death Pop!, the newest addition to the sprawling ICP discography, will immediately prove the doubters wrong. Not only do J and Dope appear to be immersed in the horror rap world, both lyrically and musically, on this Insane Clown Posse album, but they also lack no energy whatsoever.
I think that speaks pretty highly of the album as a whole! If you haven’t heard or purchased it yet, then what the fuck are you waiting for? See that entire article along with the journalist’s thoughts by clicking right here!
