Are you looking for something that’s nothing short of amazing? Are you willing to spend 28$ for a ticket? If not then get over it and drop the Jackson, Lincoln, and Washingtons, get your ticket and go see the first annual Strange Noize Tour if it hasn’t hit your city yet! If it has, you missed one spectacular nights worth of chain-reacting events.

Honestly, a triple threat, and it was every meaning of the phrase. It was a devastating, earth shaking, Richter scale toppling night with hard bass and sharp riffs. Think about it for just one second with me if you might. Three of the undergrounds most successful record labels; Psychopathic Records, Strange Music, and Suburban Noize Records all well represented under one roof? Get the fuck out of here, nobody and I mean nobody could throw that much talent at a crowd of fans if they paid MLB Pitcher Randy Johnson to do it for them.

It’s a tour thrown together by an alliance of three of the biggest, independent recording labels in today’s music society. This is the first annual, meaning that they’re going to be doing this every summer for years to come? I know I’ll be there for every one if this is true.

First up, pumpin up the crowd, getting them ready for what is still yet to come, but enjoy what’s happening now was The Subnoize Souljahs; Big B and The Dirtball. As much as I enjoy underground music and the Suburbannoize camp, I just don’t really feel the beats or rhythms of these guys. Don’t get me wrong I like some of their music, “Mayday, Hooligan, Swing Batter” etc. but I’m just not one of their biggest fans. Their set was strangely familiar with their set that they had kicked during the Kingspade Tour and I was waiting for other acts to ensue.

Shortly after, the Juggalos came out because that call from beyond bringing about The Deadman Blaze was echoing through the hollow corridors of the Agora Ballroom. Blaze’s set was un-like I’ve seen from him before. He came out kickin’ it true undead-gangsta style with classic hits like “Real G Shit, Hood Ratz, Juggalo Anthem, Nasty” along with many other favorites from the psychopathic vault. Up on stage with him rockin’ the mic right all nite was that behind the scenes ninja creepin around, The ROC. The two seem to fit almost as well as Blaze and “you know who” but nothing will ever compare to the old days.

Once the walking dead returned to the nethervoid from hence he came, HedPE was jumping on stage with almost no time for the crowd to react. Taking center stage with hard hitting riffs and loud as fuck screams, that crowd made some noise for HedPE. They had no other choice, Jarhed commanded it of them and they did as he wished. Doing heavy, hard hitters, to rhythmic reggae type ballads, HedPE showed me something I haven’t seen before onstage, raw talent such as that fusing so much music together making it work.

Now that all of the opening acts were out of the way the two headlining names KMK and Tecca Nina were going to flip some wigs on a whole new level. Tech N9ne came out first with an amazing face paint style. His whole face was white except where he etched off the paint to reveal letters in his skin color. Trust me the shit was phat and if you disagree than you’re just a bitch, flat out. Sure Tech N9ne did just release MLK right before this tour, but he only did one maybe two tracks off the album. As soon as he hit the stage Tech ripped the mic accapella with his verse from Midwest Choppers, splitting every wig in attendance like a seamstress. Tech’s set was the best all night, I wish he would have been on stage the whole time, but fuck that there was too much excitement going on to really want that.

Kottonmouth came up next. Their set really doesn’t seem to change much. As much as I am down with the Krown and respect the group, I would really like to see a whole new set from them. Their set looked a lot like it did during The Joint is on Fire Tour. They even took a minor break for Kingspade to do a couple of songs. All in all the night was amazingly wicked slapping everyones nuggets like a vegan at McDonalds. The one thing my friends and I were waiting most on actually happened. At the very end of KMK’s set, they were joined by everyone minus Blaze and The ROC and broke the stage down like a fat bitch on a big wheel spittin’ “City 2 City”.

All I can say about this show was simply “woah”
