I still say it is so easy for inactives to vote when those guys don't visit. I mean a couple of times now I have seen people that havn't visited this site in a while or are new checking the thread out and oddly enough the tally changes.
Seems like a load of crap. I agree with Smack this whole thing is a farce.

saddens me that it comes to this shit. i think the worst part is people think im sticking up for smack, this isnt about smack for me. its about banning someone who is supposed to be family purely based on the fact he makes you slightly uncomfortable. for everyone voted for permaban, i really truly hope you understand the implications of what you are doing. the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Now, i am going to pick up my family from the airport. i'll see you all in 2 weeks.... or i wont, because you know. i said im not coming back if smack gets perma banned and shit. and i have to follow through and shit. i regret those words somewhat, but i plan on holding to them.

Sad to hear that man I kinda feel the opposite way unless I can get some type of guarantee which is damn near impossible.
My reason not being I hate the guy, in fact the opposite but simply because his trolling scruffy has bled out into decent threads and the spam ruins those threads.
If I go and spam miklos thread right now with fifty posts dissing Rosco I would expect to be severely punished. To not do that sets a precedent that anything goes. Also it would be unfair to miklo or any other member trying to read that thread.

Can Scottie D see the names of the members that voted? That should clear up the whole "active users" issue. Some of the "non-active" users may be people who used to come here and left because of smack's shit, but that's purely speculation.
I voted for the ban. Not because I have a seething hatred for Smack, a lot of the time he can be cool. I just an sick of the middle school shit on the forums. If it requires Scruffy stepping down from his mod position then so be it. I doubt he really gives a fuck about being a mod.

Not sure, really anyone who doesn't visit two to three times a week is inactive. So many use this as a news source more then a community and those people don't have to pit up with shit much so their opinions are invalid to me.
I see pretty much the same twenty people on here daily.

Votes are all screwed up. The option for the site was voting by IP and not by user id. It is now set for user id but it does not change the counts of those already voted.
Interestingly, the people who voted for him not to be banned only voted once. Several of the ones that voted for him to be banned voted multiple times.
I tried to see if I could remove the counts of those who multiple voted but all it lets me do is delete the log info. It does not change the count. I tried to remove the extra votes of those who voted 3 times or more as a test but it did not change the poll counts.
Future polls made will now be based on user id and not IP.
The issue is that now all people who had voted before can vote again now that it is registering by user id. This will further blow the numbers out of proportion.
Anyway, I think since the counts were really off in the first place, the poll should not be used for any decision making.
Future polls created will be accurate, though.
