It seems like the drama in the world of the Kottonmouth Kings is picking up more and more. This time, it’s a beef with long-time label mates Potluck. Yesterday, Potluck released their Marathon Marijuana Mix #2, which was a 15 minute mixtape-type track where they rap over various well-known beats. So at the 7:36 mark, it was surprising when they seemingly threw a diss out to Brad “Daddy” X and D-Loc of the Kottonmouth Kings. 1 Ton‘s verse said the following:
I guess my business needs an upgrade in Twitter mentions
I see some people on the chart who need some rapper lessons
As soon as that line about “rapper lessons” was said, pictures of Daddy X and D-Loc flashed across the screen:
Early this morning, the Kottonmouth Kings took to their Twitter page (@Kottonmouth) and said the following:
Until now, we really didn’t know what side Potluck or most of the other Suburban Noize artists stood with. Yes, there have been various Twitter and Facebook comments giving props to Kevin Zinger for helping further their careers, but no jabs like this. So it’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out. What are your thoughts on it?
