Technically this is a bump, but I think that the constructive feedback given by certain members here is valuable and so I'm looking forward to the same for my track
i actually thought i had commented on this back then, but i see that i didnt.
not bad. the chorus is not my cup of tea, id recommend farming out the singing duties.
delivery could stand a bit more, i dunno, emotional quality? sounds like youre reading. beats the crap outta most ninjas rap styles, though.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

Wow, thank you very much :) I've only been doing this for a couple of years and am still learning the craft. I know what you mean about the singing and emotional cadence of my vocals; the problem is that due to excessive salbutamol inhalation and strain as a kid with chronic asthma, my throat is malformed somewhat and things come out very monotone. I could definitely use some singing and vocal coaching, but even then, my ability to articulate my sound will never be great. Thank you very much for taking the time to listen to my music, and again for the feedback. Its highly appreciated! :)

Probably the only claim of significance that Kempston has is that the Europathic (remember when that happened) headquarters was based in a warehouse about 2 minutes walk from my apartment. Its close to Milton Keynes, which is about 50 minutes drive north of London in the middle of the UK.
I'm going to have to check out Slick Rick as my exposure to hip-hop is a lot more limited than most here; Psychopathic obviously, and stuff like House of Pain, Cypress Hill, and Beastie Boys are stuff I have listened to. My rapping influences are more from bands like Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, and that nu-metal stuff from the turn of the millenium.
But the biggest one, and the person solely responsible for making me consider taking up rap music was Jumpsteady – his track 'The Obsolete Man' blew my mind; it had never occurred to me that you could tell a story musically outside of those cassettes that we used to put in the back of a Teddy Ruckspin back in the day, and being a film maker, I saw the music as another creative avenue with-which to tell my stories and articulate my emotional issues.

interesting intro to hiphop. theres lots of juggalos with a similar story.
myself, i first got into it with run dmc, big daddy kane, etc etc. got locked into 'hiphop only' with cypress hill, the house, and especially wu tang when they hit. for about the last 20 years or so i havent bought more than about a dozen albums that werent hiphop.

HA! I never would have expected to see mention of the Walnut Boys, LOL! :D I'm not a big sports fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I have seen the local football (soccer, sorry) team going thru the motions ;)
I love Run DMC, I can't believe I forgot to mention them. Another one was the radio classic tracks like Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, Sir Mix-a-Lot, and Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince/Will Smith. Hiphop is one of those worlds I have always feared to explore out of respect for its craftsmanship and feeling guilty for being “late to the party” so to speak. I can't stand stuff that is in the charts like P Diddy and all the bling/hoes/cars/money stuff. But the old stuff from the 80's and 90's I really appreciate.

well, knowing youre a juggalo, id say check out wu, that alone will lead to all kinds of shit. epmd, redman, public enemy. west coast gangsta shit like nwa, ice-t. geto boys.
really, theres a million different avenues to explore.
speaking of avenues, whats up with all the closes?
and, is that close, as in, close to a location? or close, as in, close the door?
awfully paranoid, arent you?

Thanks for the tips! :)
Close is pronounced the same way as “so close yet so far”, and it is a typical final part of a road's name if said road ends in a dead end and is flanked on all sides by houses. Roads of this nature also end with “end” or “court”, such as “Wood End”, “Wood Court”, or something like that. They are mostly referred to as “cul-de-sac”, which is derived from French meaning dead end (or, literally translated, “butt of the sack”)

i live on a highway.
i mean, its a two-lane blacktop road with no shoulder, but the state owns it, so it gets to be called a highway.
Get schooled on more British vocabulary – here, we call a road like that a “dual carriage way” :D I always called them highways because I use Americanisms based on the principle that I have always thought Americans sounded about 20% more cooler (probably just outted myself as a Brony, but oh well) than we do. It must be dangerous living on a road like that, how long does it take to pull out of your driveway??
