Say Violent J moves to New York.
After he gets to NY, he starts giving interviews where he states that he can't handle living in Detroit anymore, for several reasons.
Violent J then shares that he feels he is so much better than every other rapper in Detroit's small scene, he had to move to New York, cause only in NY are there MC's of his calibre, that he considers worthy competition.
Next Violent J puts out a single where the chorus is about how shitty Detroit's weather is.
Then it comes out that Violent J and his new manager in NY ripped off Violent J's old business partner in Detroit, and now they are getting sued in Michigan.
After all this shit,his OG fans in Detroit are feeling betrayed, and are starting to get more than a little pissed at Violent J.
Hell, some of them even paid over a hundred dollars to be a part of his new official fan club.
Insert Madchild for Violent J, Los Angeles for New York, and Vancouver for Detroit, and maybe you'll see what I've been trying to get at.
