Something to keep in mind, the album is only absolutely fucking phenomenal when played all the way through, most songs aren't shit on their own.

although it wasnt a psychopathic album, psy was promoting it for him, what with j being on it and the whole 'esham is gonna be in dark lotus!' thing, which lasted about a week or so. i heard that tongues was on the way from icp.com long before any other outlet.
washed up… depends on your definition. im not even sure if its fair to say esham is washed up now, even though hes clearly fallen from greater heights.

I wouldn't say he's washed up either. His following is just as rabid….only considerably smaller

its a good album but i dont think its better than dmt.. too much dubstep.. which i dont have a problem with.. im not a dub hater.. its just too emotionless for me.. so yeah its def a good follow-up album but not better imo

It's interesting how two people can listen to the same music and feel so differently about it.
I think Venus Flytrap delivers a far greater emotional punch than DMT – fittingly, it almost carries an air of resignation about it. I also think it has a lot more stand out tracks than DMT without compromising its continuity as an album.
Each to their own though of course….

ive honestly only listened to it 3 or 4 times from front to back.. its just so fuckin long i gotta prepare myself to listen to it all haha also im tryin to put the finishing touches on my mixtape so that takes away time from bumpin it
