“Acid Rain” is not horrible. Although you explained your opinion, @the-warlock , it shocks me still that you don’t find the album to be good. It’s an excellent introduction to those who know little to nothing about him pre-PSY.

agreed.

“Charlie Manson” (you may recognize the beat from “Pistol Grip Pump” and “Dumpin”)

is there a remix ive never heard of?? or are you just referring to the similar claps in it?

Listen to the bass line. For “Charlie Manson” it was bbasically a slowed down bass line from “Pistol Grip Pump” by Mack 10, and then Psychopathic Rydas “Dumpin”. That’s what I used to hear anyway. I’ll double check in a sec.

Pistol Grip Pump – Mack 10

Dumpin – Psychopathic Rydas

Esham – Tony Montana

Pistol Grip Pump – Rage Against the Machine

Gorilla in a Stranglehold – Mayday

Same bass line

Dude is one of the greatest things to happen to hip hop. Period. You know why he made College Drop out? Because the radio was over saturated with gangster rap so he decided to make soulful rap about real life issues to diversify the radio. You know why he made 808’s? Because the radio was over saturated with Kanye copycats doing that soulful style so he decided to make an emotional electro pop album to diversify the radio. You know why he did Yeezus? Because the radio was over saturated with Kanye copycats doing that emotional style of hip hop so he decided to do some industrial sounding trap music.

Plus, being somebody who’s admitted to being drawn solely to the ‘dark shit’, why should your opinion on hip hop as a whole even matter? With such a narrow taste on music, why comment on music as whole? Especially when nothing Kanye has done has every effected the dark side of hip hop. (yet)

@luckynumbrxiii see, I’m not picking on you home skillet. We coo we coo.

hollowpoints and tony montana are both direct samples of an rnb song whose identity escapes me for the moment, but i believe is an isley brothers cut.

pistol grip pump was volume 10, not mack 10.

that is all.

No shit ! I didn’t put them in chronological order of who crafted the fuckers first! I just put that all of those artists have used the main bassline for their tracks! Christ almighty. But I can’t believe I forgot “Hollowpoint”, there’s another. I’m not trying to make a political statement. But even so, Vote OMD.

What that dude said about him being on a whole other level is true.

Listen to Mail Dominance, & http://WWW.COM by Natas and compare it to anything out at that time, it’s E experimenting, and looking to bring something different. How that can’t be respected is beyond me!

A-1 Yola was groundbreaking to me, a video for every song accompanied the disc, had anyone ever done that before? I don’t believe so.

and if you listen to Suspended Animation, I think E was the first one to rap over that Dub step style, and he fucking killed it.

I don’t give two shits about what he does in his personal life, I don’t bring that into the equation at all when I’m judging or rating his music, the world needs more ESHAM’s and less of the bullshit we have out there now.

http://WWW.COM is an absolute horseshit album. Besides the first song that whole shit is whack is fuck. I used to hear it and wonder, how could anyone possibly find this shit dope? Well, I guess some people did, and it still mystifies me. The beats are just plain awful, but I guess that can also be construed as “trying something different.” Even if the beats were dope you’d still have TNT rapping on almost every track, and I challenge anyone to find anything good about that. Dude never dropped a dope line in his life.

A-1 Yola was also absolute horseshit.  Original idea with the video for every track, but if every track sucks, is there any reason why anyone should give a flying fuck? The videos are horseshit too, but hey, at least he’s consistent.

Suspended Animation is one of the worst albums ever made, hands down, bar none. Period. Dub step is some fuckin’ bullshit, rapping to it doesn’t help any. This album did manage to prove me wrong in one sense though, as I had said before this album dropped about that Esham could sink no lower. Then he made this crap and completely contradicted me, the fuck. A dub step hip hop album, Jesus fucking H Christ.

Everything in the above post is bullshit, must be Warlock under a different account. I find it hard to believe that two completely different people on this forum are absolutely and utterly delusional.

I stopped liking esham’s music after A-1 yola. maybe a handful of songs after that, but suspended animation, venus flytrap, shit like that was hard on the ears.

Natas’s album N of the world was horrible…I mean come on, “Pancakes and Syrup”?  again, a handful of songs

I'll fuck you till you love me, Faggot!
