Im boycotting this movie cuz they last one destroyed my favorite marvel character…there was no need to butcher Deadpools story like that…fuck Xmen movies they all SUUUUCCCKKKK

I’m still waiting on that Deadpool solo movie they promised.

I didn’t hate the way they handled Deadpool (I wasn’t very fond of it either), the way I looked at it was more or less “well shit, at least he got in a movie.” He seems more popular now a days though, back then most people thought he was a Spider-Man ripoff, which he’s not… He’s a ripoff of Deathstroke, but whatever. I think it’s hilarious that Disney’s cartoon portrayal of DP was infinitely more accurate than Fox’s, even with the restrictions on language and violence.

Also, I’d watch a Scruff produced comic book flick.

Eh, I wasn’t a huge fan of first class. It was okay. I wish they could make a fucking consistent timeline with the X-men movies, though. How the fuck was Emma Frost a grown ass woman in First Class when we just saw her when she was like 16 in Origins Wolverine being saved by a bald as Professor Xavier in a wheel chair? Popular answer would probably be that Origins exists outside of canon.

Well how is Havok older then Scott? When Havok is his younger bro?

different writers and directors do different things.  They do whatever they want even if it won’t make sense.

I have not liked any Xmen movie they have made.  I love the 90s cartoon on fox thats on Netflix…thats my jam right there.

I’m a sucker for comic book movies. They’re not all good, but I try to give them all a fair shake. I thought the original X-men trilogy was good, got pretty sketchy after that though.

I thought the third one blew massive chunks…I didn’t have too much of an issue with the first two in retrospect.  Just didn’t like the whole look those movies had I guess…to each their own i suppose.

I will say it is quite pleasant to discuss comic book movies with people who know about the comics…It makes me a happy panda.

I’m gonna be honest and say that I actually was watching super hero movies and cartoons before I really ever got into comics. Not because I didn’t want to read them, more just because I couldn’t afford to buy all those books. I only really started collecting like a few years ago, and the collection ain’t that extensive.

Well you among others seem to know what you are talking about.  The only comic I collected as a kid was Deadpool.  I have all the original series he put out…before cable and deadpool and all that other stuff…back when he was just the merc with a mouth, who was in love with Syren from X factor

I try to know what I’m talking about most of the time, so I guess it’s working. I don’t have the complete Deadpool collection, but I have some Deadpool classic trade paper backs that cover most of his original run. It was a lot better than most of the new shit I’ve read. Although, Brian Posehn’s been writing DP since Marvel Now, and that’s pretty good too.

There was some strange shit in those books idk if even Brian Posehn can hold a candle to the story ark when he was in love with death. Or the one with T-Ray for that matter. Also I want  a Great Lakes Avengers movie dammit.

Know about it.

I know of the Great Lakes Avengers, but meh. Like, they all seem to be sort of purposefully worthless, which might be funny? I prefer the OG Avengers.

Here’s a pretty good example of Posehn’s stuff.

lol that is pretty good.  The Great Lakes avengers are supposed to suck thats their whole shtick…They’re the wackest of all superhero teams, First they’re the Lightning Rods, then the Great Lakes Avengers, then they rebrand to the Great Lakes X Men,but they still suck. oh the 90s how I miss you
