I couldn’t help but spank my monkey to Hugh Jackman and the a Asian chick’s lol.

Was kind of a slow movie.  Not so much action as I hoped. It’s the most different x men movie.  It’s not really a x men movie.  Really interesting though. Nothing like orgins

there’s  special guests after the credits too.

I’d give the movie a 6.5/10.  But that’s me.

I hate spoiling stuff so I’ll leave it at that.

The whole movie was just to set up the next X-Men movie Days of Future Past, introduce and explain shit before it comes out (Trask Industries, why one of the characters in the after credits scene is now alive after being destroyed previously, and the other guy has powers again). Hell The Wolverine isn’t even comic based they just threw it together to tie in the X-Men Universe to the movie life again.

It was September 1982. Chris Claremont with pencils by Frank Miller, inks by Joe Rubinstein, letters by Tom Orzechowski, and colors by Glynis Wein. Put out the first arc of Wolverine which The Wolverine is an adaptation of.

comic book movies as a whole usually fall short.  usually, way short.

if youre a fan of comics, ask yourself:  how many movies from comics are better than the movie you had already made in your head?

off the dome, i cant think of one.  the first couple spiderman movies, maybe.  superman, superman ii.

oh, and sin city.  sin city worked because they tried very hard to exactly match the comics.  composition, dialogue, editing, all taken right from the pages.  but i dont think that would work for xmen, nor most other comics.

on the other hand, give me the franchise rights and a budget, and ill give you the bombest xmen movie you could conceive of.

a lotta other titles, too.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

the only thing id have done differently for sin city would be to have the whole movie look like this.

The animated “Dark Knight Returns” based off of the old frank miller comic was a good one imo. Like you said about sin city it pretty much matches it panel to panel.

But you are right, nothing compares to the originals
