i been thinking about doing a vernisage that’s what we call an art show in Montreal where you bassicaly rent a room and then buy beer and wine and give the beer and wine away for free so people can come see your art.

I want to do an art show about addiction like booze,gambling,drugs,smokes because I am addicted to all that shit and hoard what’s left.

I have about 1500 six pack plastic rings

a couple hundred cards that come in packs of smokes that warn of the dangers of smoking

like 1000 weed baggies of all sorts of different designs

and sport gambling tickets where I lose sometimes as high as 500$ a ticket

I want to somehow turn that shit into art

I would like to turn the beer plastic rings into like a lamp because if if you stack them real high light shines through it real nice.

I want to papier macher all my gambling tickets onto a giant canvas

and for the weed baggies I want to get like a shadow box add all of them in there and find some sort of clear resin to poor over them where it would dry all hard and nice.

its just something that’s been on my mind for a few years now.

you should do it up man. get a hot glue gun and go to town.

oh sorry i misunderstood.

These aren’t great photos because I took em with my phone without prepping anything. On friday I’ll have pics of them in the pond (with blooming lotus flowers, they came back this week!) but here are my Dark Lotus figures after they’ve been Soda Fired. One of em fell over and I had to break it to take it out of the kiln :(. The Soda mix changed the color a bit too much, I wanted them to be black, but I really like the way they look. And I’m sad the ICP plates didn’t come out with the right colors. The soda really fucked with the red clay. And it looks like someone put something on top of one of the plates by mistake or something while it was drying and I didn’t notice.
