As it comes closer to the date I am without a co pilot for my journey to the gathering. Plus there is a possibility I might not be able to get the time off due to me possibly getting a new position at work. But if I’m ok with work I still have no one to go with due to my friend having no loot. I am a very independant person and I do a lot by myself. I have been like this my whole life. I went to Woodstock 99 with a group of friends but mostly did my own thing. I kinda just roam around and meet people. I’m not shy and don’t have any anxiety about meeting new people.
My dilemma though is this…I don’t know any of you and I’m not looking to intrude or impede on anyone else’s experience. I mean sure I would meet up and say hi but I’m not looking to be a 5th wheel. It’s not like I have friends from here waiting to hang out with me like some of you do. I personally have no problem just roaming on my own but is it weird? Has anyone else done it and if so how was it. I told my wife I would go alone if I had to and she had no problem with it but I could tell she thought it was odd. I really set my sights on going this year and deep down I want to go so I guess what’s the point of this post but I would be nice to know that someone else has gone alone and had a great time.
and no this isn’t some attempt to try to get someone to ride with me or to camp with. I am totally cool with going solo just looking for some feedback and I know this is the right place to get it good, bad, or indifferent

actually… no, i havent. drove up there solo last year, but scooped up pigg just before i got there.
once there, i tend to run around with whoever, whether its the ninjas i came with, or someone i met there.
figure if ya wanna hang with someone, someone there will hang with ya. far as ive seen.

The couple times I went I rolled with strangers. I didn’t really know anybody. I’d go with my friend but he can’t get the time off for it. But I know I’ll be seeing my people that I do know from the Gathering. People from around the country. You’ll make friends though if you go alone. People are usually chilly and always looking out for one another. So mention that you came alone and they’ll hook you up.

I did in 05. I shared a campsite with a bunch of Michigan juggalos. I kept to myself and enjoyed every seminar and concert on my own agenda. Passed the blunt to myself everywhere….its an unreal feeling in the air truly.

I went last year specifically to murder @piggofdoom but he set up camp with @scruffy and @entrappedmind in a location with a lot of pedestrian visibility so I was never able to get a clean shot.
@phreakcore , I wouldn’t worry about going alone. You’ll meet up with someone; everyone who goes alone does. Especially if you show up for the parking lot party (that officially never is supposed to happen) that always happens the night before.

Yeah i guess im just odd and dgaf about socializing no offense ive dapped Scottie at some events in Austin and Dallas but thats it i fall back immediately . Some of the best experiences in life dont have to be with company.

I can try. I have never painted anyone else before. I use the good stuff too. Ben Nye face paint, setting powder, and finishing spray. As you saw with my Dark Lotus makeup, which after sleeping on it over night, was still on in the morning. The professional stuff is the only way to go. I have white and black, of course, and red.

My group of 7 that was “for sure” going this year has dwindled down to me and my girlfriend and she doesn’t plan on camping there much so I’m going to be solo for about half the time I’m there, if not more, so you’re definitely not going to be the only solo ninja there. Speaking on some shit that I know little to nothing on, it’ll be fine. It is a large group of Juggalos. If there is a stereotype that holds up for most Juggalos (other than all of us being a gang of course), it’s that we’re the weird, loner kid. You’ll be surrounded by them so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
