I think once the idea is figured out, all the steps can be photographed and displayed in the area of the tie-dye area.
I'd set it up kinda early, cuz intricate designs kinda require a moderate sobriety, with like a 4 hour window or so. Dye them and let them sit for a day before rinsing out an drying.
Unless that dude by Pigg will do a bunch of custom tie dyes for us for a reasonable price.

I read one style was with a bleach pen, didnt listen to the words to hear which method this was. Thinking we could just to a normal screen printed hatchetman/faygoman front, faygoluvers across the back, and just tie dye around them. The dye wont stick to the screen print or so ive read on one page. Wont be in the shape of the hatchet man but itll be the same concept.

This is what i originally thought...basically everyone got to chose what color they wanted their shirt type thing....ck44 will get his white he has been wanting and everyone could make it the color/colors they wanted.
I assumed that nothing would of stuck to the screen print....and it that was questionable, we could put tape over the screen print.

So what is it now, tie dye shirts?I said ill pay for it. Ill still do it.
So what bring ur own shirts or i could front those too.
I already looked everything up.
This seems to be the majority vote for the moment with the 4 people that visit this page. Id personally like to see the faygoman screen printed along with an emblem and year, then tie dyed random colors. Wanted to give scottie the kudos for the tie dye idea, but couldnt find the exact spot... I believe it was mentioned by him first.

Alright friends/fam, the tie dye will be a thing this year. Can we get a head count of who wants to play so we know if one kit is sufficient or six? Its going to be a BRING YOUR OWN WHITE GARMENT party. If you all wanna discuss times thats awesome. Im only saying it will be available and need to know how many extra kits to pick up.

I am not doing the tie dye party but I did do my own tie dye. I attempted a hatchman. Took about 3 days from start to finish (the longest part was sew-scrunching the hatchetman outline). It requires a lot of water to rinse out. It did not turn out as expected since the dyes bleed out from point of application and make intricate designs such as the hatchetman difficult to do.
I only bought 3 colors. Red, yellow, and black. I also used the soda ash pre-soak to brighten the colors. I used all of the dye just for one shirt. I was using the Tulip dye system.
I'll post a picture of it when I get home from work.

I talked to the tie dye shop that is in town. They told me where to get tie dye, but they also said you need a respirator when mixing the dyes, and that the dyes need to sit for at least 24 hours after. So I probably won't be bringing that kind of dye.
Sazarah bought a kit from Michaels, im gonna head to the local branch this weekend and see about buying another kit. So far theres only 4 of us attempting a simple shirt design. Well wing it and see what happens. I dont see michaels selling the industrial brand and theres no way with this group of people that a little toxic smell is the worst thing that has entered our bodies. Thank you for asking around.

My past tie dye experiences taught me three things:
Designs don't work.
The tighter your scrunched up shirt is, the less bleed through you'll get, which means the less color will make it on your shirt.
The more color variance the better.
