My past tie dye experiences taught me three things:
Designs don't work.
The tighter your scrunched up shirt is, the less bleed through you'll get, which means the less color will make it on your shirt.
The more color variance the better.
This was first and only tie dye attempt. I may have done it all wrong.
The hatchetman design was very tightly scrunched (done by sewing the hatchman and drawing it by pulling the thread) but NOT tied off from the rest of the design (I couldn't figure out how to do both). In fact, I didn't tie any parts off. The rest of the shirt was probably way too loosely scrunched. They recommended a non-rinsing spin cycle to extract water after the pre-soak in soda ash. I did NOT do that. I just hand wrung the water out. After looking online this morning, I found the colors will bleed more if the fabric is too damp during the initial dying phase. Oh well. I figured I was smarter than the instructions and just did it my own way. Turns out the instructions were smarter than I was.
I'll post the pic later today when I get home.

Sorry about it being a little blurry.
@drunkalo , I did everything wrong on it. I wouldn't use my experience to deter you guys from doing it yourself.
No man, that looks pretty good for a first attempt, brought my spirits back up! The outline, will that fade? Def helps outline the hatchetman. I mean, i dont know how a bad tie dye design looks but im guessing thats not it.

The outline was done with permanent black sharpie before I dyed it. I was supposed to use black dye along the cinched up part of the outline of the hatchet man but when I saw how quickly just one drop of dye spread out, I was afraid to add any black dye there. I was thinking it would have made it a somewhat undefinable blob. I decided to just not dye the outline black and see what happened after dye and rinse. The permanent marker did not fade. If washed with cold water (which should be done with all tie dye), the marker ink won't fade or run.

Yeah, Cowboy is the big runt and The Dude is the little knight. However, Esteban the cat is their alpha.
Cowboy does love company, indeed. He was digging Scruff to the fullest.
This shirt is the dopest.
I was wondering what next year's big theme will be?
They've done both Wraiths and Wizard of the Hood, etc.
