I gotta say I thought there’d be more to the infomercial. I know that J and Shaggy haven’t been in *all the previous ‘mercials but after last year’s (which I thought was pretty damn funny) and after how long it took to actually put out, I was expecting a bit more production out of it. Or at least *some of the artists actually appearing in it (besides Legz and Sugar). Sugar was looking cute in that outfit though.
Why the hell did they open the thing with talking about dying?! I get that that was the theme for Chop’s deal but nothing sets off a party like talkin’ about thinking about when yer gonna DIE, right?
I’ve read a bunch of the comments on the vid about how the acting makes people look bad but you gotta love the cheese. It’s all in fun. But again, I’d have liked to have seen more of our Killa Clowns in it.
Anyone else… uncomfortable… with Twiztid being called “honorary”…? I’d have chosen something a bit more close than that. Celebrities get “honorary” degrees n’shit that ain’t for real anything. Twiztid is more than “honorary” family. Meh. Also, anyone else catch the scrawl that specified “Psychopathic Artist” seminars? So let’s not get all pissy when Twiztid doesn’t do one. I get it. Wish it weren’t so but… The Gathering is a Psychopathic gig… it is what it is. But they better have a merch booth for everybody though!
Overall, I thought the infomercial was serviceable. It did what it was supposed to. But it ain’t anything I’d watch over and over again like last year’s cuz it just ain’t that funny. Informative, sure. Gets the juices going, sure. It just isn’t all that “entertaining” (and certainly not worth the over-exaggerated wait just to get the most exciting parts in the form of the full/extra info).

As you yourself noted, the dying part was kinda instrumental to the whole infomercial. I get what you’re saying, but don’t see any way around it. Personally, I didn’t see a problem with it and liked the overall concept.

They did a good job with the infomercial this year, Chop made me laugh a lot and Sugar Slam gave me a boner. A few notable acts/people not announced-
