I see what your saying. Yep if you dig deep enough you can connect any one thing with any other thing. Life happens in cycles so its no surprise that peoples creative work can sound similar as it come from the same place. Most of the legends that made music based it on the occult but no ones copying anyone they are recycling. Don’t listen to the music and read the lyrics and you will see. Mainstream shit though, aims to keep the occult OCCULT.
And I dont hate religion, I love freedom. Others need religion because studying and getting deep into shit sounds laborious and scary, plus they where taught lies about eternal damnation so willfully they become slaves. Its easier.

The definition of occult is not what it used to be. It originally just meant hidden. The medical community still uses the original definition as in occult blood which just means that it is present in amounts too small to be seen and can be detected only by chemical analysis or microscopic examination. The meaning has changed drastically due to incorrect usage by the public at large.
This age of rapid information (mis-information) sharing is destroying original definitions. Examples: “rip songs”. The term is an acronym which originally meant Rasterized Image Processing – the method of turning an analog image into a digital form. Now people use it to mean turning sound into digital form but rIp inherently deals with Images. Another Example: Meme. A meme was not originally a picture with words on it or anything that becomes virally popular. It is a short form of memetic which is a theory of mental content based on an analogy with Darwinian evolution. The concept of agriculture was a meme. The idea spread because those who had the idea had increased odds of survivability and were more likely to have more offspring who could adopt the idea. A picture of a cat with funny words under it is in no way a meme. I doubt those “internet memes” increase the survival rate of anyone to further pass the idea.
Enough of my tangential rant… Back to the topic (kind of). What if my religion is the concept of the Dark Carnival? I would then not find ICP as Anti-Religious.
