people seem to forget that the music is half if not more of the song than the lyrics and concept. bands get full credit for the music whereas people only wanna give the rappers the cred. anyone can write lyrics down even if they suck. not everyone can make music. give credit where credit is due. mec is the shit and will never leave icp again(thank god) doesnt mean they cant dabble with other producers on side projects and shit like that

Even if Dre doesn't do as much of his own shit as he use to he's still the shit! I'm just sayin it'd be dope if he did just one ICP track.

Shit if Eminem never got discovered and shit didn't go down the way it day when he first met ICP he could be on PSY right now. Think about that shit.

but yeah the slim shady lp wouldve been the exact same album if released on psy minus the 3 songs dre did & prolly adding 3 mike e tracks if icp didnt further fuck with the album like they supposedly always do

I think Mike Clark creates a style of beats that bring out the carnival style of ICP in a way that most producers can't. If I remember right, I think there was a post on Weekly Freekly or something, about ICP going through some of Clark's old discarded beats for MDP. Either way, I think Clark's good he just needs to master and level some of the shit better, bass on a lot of songs is up waayyyyy too loud and on some songs J's vocals are down waaaaayyyyy too low. Maybe try to do a darker sound as well, the intro songs were usually a bit more dark and serious instead fun and playful, it kind of ruins the feel of the album when the joker card's them sounds really playful. Riddle Box invoked fear and mystery, Mighty Death Pop invokes disco dances.

I honestly don't think Slim Shady LP would have been as good of an album if it was done on PSY. That shit was a masterpiece. By far his best album.

They should get back to their roots and bring in Chuck Miller.

ICP with Mike Puwal was fresh to death!

If Mike P did Hell's Pit instead of Fritz- it would;ve rocked the shit out of the mother earth!

The Calm was horrible, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope actuallty produced that whole album from beats they bought for Frooty Loops (no joke, Esham revealed that piece of info a long time ago).

The Tempest was Mike E Clark was good, but you could tell listening to that shit that they did actually make the songs together, using two diffrent studios with Mike Clark making beats on one while ICP did their vocals at the other.

Bang! Pow Boom! was fresh to death, it wasnt no AJB or Riddle Box- but the formula of the record was well produced.

Mighty Death Pop is one of the best produced ICP albums in recent history. has ANYBODY bumped this CD in their ride. the bass is BOOMIN' the live instruments are awesomely played.

....Like Violent J said in the seminar,,,ICP is Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, along with Mike E Clark and Legz Diamond in the back doing the music.

Frooty Loops sounding beats maybe. But if J & Shags did use Frooty Loops it would probably be they had little experience making beats on they own. But who knows.

Mike P is good dont get me wrong. shangri-la is THE SHIT but, he is a rock n roll guy making a rap album.....naw.

Hell's pit is a good album....a little forced but still good

U DO NOT buy beats from frooty loops, u make them on frooty loops. shaggys bben making beats since before bizaar/bizzar. whether he used frooty loops is no big deal. ALOT of well known producers do or started on frooty loops. The calm is a good little ep...imo

Mike clark wrote and programmed most of the music on the tempest he actually produced/organized and mixed a few. icp recorded and placed mikes music where they wanted it. u should really look up how these music producing program s work thses days....

When icp and mec get in the studio together and work as a team the music takes on a whole different soundfeeling and all around atmosphere

I personally think it would be fucking epic to get chuck miller to produce a song on the next frogotten freshness or something. just for fun and to come full circle. i mean if the guys still alive and fucking with music...

Cosign all day. Not their best album IMO, but it has everything the most "well done".
