Jack squat, scruff. Combination of A: Nothin’ much going on here and B: Needing to turn into “asshole dad” for awhile kept me away. Now that the kid’s working his way back to the right track and the location/dates for this year’s Gathering are confirmed, I figured I’d swing in and say hi.
News of Ballas being let in a day early has me pondering going that route… But that would fuck up my Faygoluvers Village concept, which I still very much want to do… Opinions?
Side note… Boxy might be abandoning the Faygo box schtick, with the idea of a custom designed hockey mask… Also pondering making up some (if he shows any amount of artistic talent, that is) with the intent to sell. This should get interesting lol.

if we can pull off anything even close to faygoluvers village, i care not what form it takes.
i say we, in the assumption that i will be able to go. thats not exactly a given, this time of year. ill be there if im able.
talkin bout boxy sellin hockey masks? he oughtta sell faygo box helmets. he can tag em with ‘as seen on monkeys on crack’ or whoever the hell that was.

Hahaha, yeah, I know the box was a hit… But I think he’s looking for something that’s both more durable and more original. We were just brainstorming, since we’ve got considerably more notice about going this year than last.
Um, scruff, you not going ain’t gonna be an option, I’m afraid. Can’t let that happen. Same goes for mister piggy. Not to take anything away from Jules, Psyral/Krunk, Frog, CK44, Ganja, Scottie, Cheshyr, etc (WTF… Once I start typing names, I don’t wanna leave anybody out, dammit) – but you and POD became family from day one. And I don’t mean “family” in the watered-down form we mean when we’re chanting it at the stage… I mean I consider you two to be brothers. I loved every minute I spent with the all the folks I met there, but it wouldn’t have been the experience it was without the two complete strangers who moved in with us on our campsite within hours of meeting. lol.
Seriously. scruffy, POD. I expect to see you fuckers in July. Don’t make me come find your asses.

I beg of you. Do not do that goddamn counter again!
scruffy – I can come up with enough for an extra ticket by July. No problem. If you can get here, I’ll get you in. I know you’re not a charity kind of guy, so pay me back next year or whatever. Lemme know if that’ll work, I’ll start putting cash aside.
EDIT: Since I forgot the obvious, er, sorry for situation you’ve found yourself in. You’ll figure it out, bro, I’ve got faith in ya.

situation ive found myself in is on i put myself in. partially, anyway. at any rate, no need to feel sorry for me. as psyral pointed out, its a fine chance to examine the cruddy local job market.
funny thing is, even though they insisted i had to wait x amount of time to be eligible to work there again, my bosses [most of em] are desperate to bring me back now now now. already reapplied.
i would be confident that that was sufficient, except that shortly before i got nailed, the company was starting to get banged for its incredibly lax and inconsistent enforcement of policy. if i was married into the owners family, no shit, id have been suspended for one weekend, when id have been off anyway. thats how they punish the in-laws, they take away their overtime for half of one pay period. nepotism is unreal in that place; theres at least five guys with literal do-nothing jobs, given to them for having a wife with the right maiden name.
supposedly, there are up to a dozen semi-secret no-show jobs on top of that. for example, there is a maintenance ‘manager’ on the rolls that none of the maintenance staff, on either shift, has ever met. how he clocks in and out is an ongoing mystery. they have to email him to get answers, and the answer is always, ‘i dunno’. maintenance guys have taken to showing the shift managers forged emails, just so they can get permission to fix broken equipment.
but i digress.
regarding the kind offer, @entrappedmind. muchas gracias, señor. but let us remember that the violentdope project has not yet succeeded…
given that, i dont believe i could accept this kindness, in good conscience.

nah, theres no need for kidnapping, if i can get there anyway.
remember, i used to be a crook, i could always cheat…
you are now the third or fourth one to say im not fuckin the right people at work.
if you saw my workplace, youd understand. the usual game up there is 50-year-old hillbillies who spent the nineties in prison, mackin on 19-year-old hillbillies who spent last year bein pregnant. its pretty creepy.

Well shit… Nothing I can do to help with that one… All’s I can say is press for them to push it ahead or back by a week. I mean, one week ain’t gonna make a difference, will it? Well, aside from the obvious worst case scenario where pushing plans back a week would go wrong – we’re in the same boat with my grandpa, we’re trying to pack as much stuff in with him as we can, because we’re pretty sure we’re down to 5 years with him or less.
