I don't mean like "I JUST WANT THE WICKED SHXT!" but what kinda sound? The first 5 cards were their carnival fuck the world albums. Shangri-La was positive and Hell's Pit was dark. But since then they haven't defined a sound because they've been going all over the place. And to me they can't do that because they can't make everyone happy. They have to have a theme and stick to it. Little skits between songs don't make album themes. Someone mentioned awhile back on here they should do a "love" album with a female character who seduces for the card. That would be new for them outside of TOL but that's already 17 years old. TOL was dope as fuck too. I want something new and that would be a new updated take. Their love songs have always been entertaining. Funny or scary. And there's no doubt they could go to some weird and creative places with that type of theme/sound. Mike P is back so the sound will no doubt be new. Him and MEC working together will make some magic where as back in the day their egos got the best of them. Really looking forward to see what they can do together.
What ya got?

It'd be nice if Violent J lost some weight so he could spit like he did on shangri-la and jeckel bros.
Shaggy 2 Dope is still good on the mic though, he honestly hasnt changed much in my opinion..
i cant really say for sure how i'd want it to sound cuz i'd say "i want the beats to sound like they did back in the 90's" but technically thats what MDP was...basically a collection of older beats compiled onto an LP with new vocals.
so idk, maybe bring Mike P back on the production tip- but in the same sense i wouldnt want a record w/o MEC and Legz Diamond in the mix,

Yeah that's why I'm thinking it's gonna be a super team collab for the first time ever. MEC and Legz are J's family at this point and good for him getting Mike P back in the mix too. I give him shit a lot but that's a move that shows he's looking forward and wanting to mix it up.
Word J needs to lose that weight and spit again.

I agree with the weight thing, I don't see how that affects song writing ability. I can see how that could affect stage presence, and the fact that no one wants to catch a 300+ pound Violent J stage diving, but beyond that weight means nothing. I would love if ICP went back to being angry, like when they had no money. Maybe go live as homeless people do for a month, eat out of trash cans, sleep on the street, whatever it takes to get back whatever it is that made the earlier albums what they were. I'm sure they'll never go to that extreme, but maybe they should. They've said it themselves, life is good for them right now. Get out of your million dollar homes and stop driving your nice cars around. Go back to being hungry and pissed off at the rich people who laughed at them. Back to their roots so to speak. If nothing else, stop singing Violent J, just stop. Bring back the wicked shit, bring back the being pissed off at everything, and stop preaching about rainbows and God all the time. We all know the dark carnival is God, let's move on. They never preached on earlier records, I miss that man.

True but J isn't one of them. Not this fat anyway. His voice is naturally lighter when he's skinnier and his word play and flow is way better. He doesn't sound tired and old. It's not just that he's old now either because he went through the same thing during the B/B and TFTLP eras. He lost the weight for Shangri-La and was a different person. Then put the weight back on and has sounded tired and old since. Weight might not have everything to do with it but I'd say it's the majority.

More horror beats man. Pianos, organs, violins, fuck throw a bagpipe in there lol. I just want a darker sound man, and the rest will fall into place. The beat will speak to them.
Yay yay J has not got any lazier at rapping, I think it's just your imagination man. As much as I don't like alot of MDP J has still got it.He is just trying out new styles and tryna keep shit fresh. I bet this next one will top BPB and MDP, And shaggy killed shit on MDP. His verse on "Kickin Kickin" was the best I've heard outta him for years.
I've said it a couple times before but yay yay maybe you are just growing out of icp's sound.

Id like to hear some dark horror style beats with dark subject matter,And a refreshing chaotic name,Someone on JN.com mentioned they would like to see a Jokers card with the name like King of Chaos or something,And that sounds like a great name for a Jokers card,But i seriously doubt it would happen since J is all about that mass appeal and likes family friendly shit.
"Ferris wheels and bumper cars are fun,But those rides just arent for everyone,Bought my ticket im a have a run in the maze,If i dont come back yet right away,Give me time at least a half a day,Dont just leave me lost and thrown away in the maze."
Shaggy:Hey man,What the fuck,Cut all that happy family friendly bullshit man,cut that shit off,Fuck that,Were supposed to be Wicked in this bitch.
Thats what they need to retort too.Fuck all that happy family friendly pop bullshit,I wanna hear more shit like,In this song i say Fuck 93 times.

I think they should do whatever they want like whatever comes to them when they do their craft, as long as they keep putting shit out. They dont release enough music. less merchandise more music dropping. Psypher 4 was the bomb. Maybe a music video movie like bowling balls but with wizard of the hood? First icp cd i heard was milenko but my favorate is jeckel bros so my vote would be a combo of those two albums soundwise.

as far as a sound, i want them to go back to that "fuck the world", "tilt a whirl" style of beats. I like when its distorted guitar riffs and simple drum patters. but the beats wont really matter cuz its the vocals that seem 2 b the problem lately. Violent Js weight doesnt really matter its just the delivery lately has been wack. i remember "hound dogs", "i even make big pun look skinny" and he was spittin fire back then.
but the track record so far with BPB, MDP its not all of a sudden gonna jump back 2 the old violent J we know. i just see it being another let down and without twiztid bringin quality music, slowly and slowly the hatchet might decline. nobodys even on here chatting anymore. with the market streching out with strange music and twiztid leaving, the hatchet will have a lot of nostalgic fans, and im not posting on here anymore, ive seen that no one can agree about shit and im tired of tryin 2 teach these idiots who love Mighty death poop, if not liking their last shitty albums doesnt make me juggalo enough, then im out this so called "family"

YayYay knows his shit. Saying that however, J was fat as fuck when recording Rydin Dirtay, and that record has some really dope verses by him. To me J's problem is his voice is really blown out. Just a lil studio magic on it is all it would take. Listen to their voices at the beginning of the bang pow boom sampler, to me thats how they should always sound.
As far as sound of the new album goes, they need to be more wicked, not "The Blasta" wicked, But wicked rhymes over dark evil beats. Enough of this "Wicked Pop" as J calls it.

I remember the Red Magician cover. J paintless with a patch on his eye lol.
This is the first time ICP has had to carry the label alone in since 1999 and there's more on the line now than ever. Short of another masterpiece, I don't see the future of Psychopathic anymore. I don't really give a shit about the label though. I only want ICP to make awesome music again. Not just "ok" or "had a few good songs". They had a lot to fall back on before to stay comfortable. Living off the family gimmick and all. Now like ABK is what they have to fall back on. Which is like falling off a building and having an empty cardboard box laying flat to break the fall. So if this doesn't light a fire under their ass, nothing will. The new EP needs to get people excited. No more short cuts or half assing.
