The trifecta of Riddlebox, Milenko, and AJB are pretty much bullet proof to me. But if I have to choose just 1, it’s Riddlebox.

Honestly, I just think it’s the most “ICP sounding” album they have. While COC and Ringmaster have some good shit (especially Ringmaster), Riddlebox is where they really made a leap forward and seemed to find all the right ingredients and inspiration. Mike E Clark was REALLY on point and the addition of Legs Diamond was key. J especially really found that balance of dark “scary” songs like the classic back-to-back “12” into “The Killings Fields” as well as having a lot of humor throughout the album such as in “The Joker’s Wild”. “Dead Body Man” I think is the epitome of ICP and really captures everything dope about that in 1 song, particularly from that time period. And also, “Ol’ Evil Eye” STILL remains my favorite ICP song all these years later.

Kind of hard to beat The King, indeed.

I went with Shangri La personally but Riddlebox is indeed their best quality wise.

“Joker’s Wild” was their first track I ever heard. It’s by no means my favorite, but it was all I needed to be like “what in the FUCK is THIS awesome shit??!”

AJB. Okay it’s probably because it’s the first one I owned. But goddamn the guitars on that album sound amazing. From I Want My Shit to Terrible… Assassins… fucking Snoop Dogg. The intro with dude wanting to sell a candle, it just sounded so mysterious when I first heard it. Me and my fam used to laugh at ALL the skits. Bitches used to be my favorite beat. And Nothings Left might be the greatest song ICP made.

Right behind that is Ringmaster. Only because the beats were so nice. The second half of the verses on Who Asked You are so satisfying to hear. Wax Museum’s funky keys… organ maybe?

Riddlebox, Okay it’s probably because it’s the first one I owned. But goddamn the guitars on that album sound amazing. From three rings to DBM… coming home… fucking MEC. The intro with dude wanting to know what happened after the car crash, it just sounded so mysterious when I first heard it. Me and my fam used to laugh at ALL the skits. Lil sumthing’ sumthin” used to be my favorite beat. And Chicken Huntin’ might be the greatest song ICP made.

Great Milenko because it was their best mix of rap and a few rap rock songs mixed in.  They were still hungry and not being experimental yet.  Also the sound quality was the best of any icp albun too.  Disney hired some big names to master it.  And the Intro is the best intro they ever did too.
