thefakeviolentj Play Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” LP for happiness. Even if he molested kids his talent is still a gift from God. It’s not his pass to Heaven. He has to earn that, like the rest of us. We’re all judged, even those of us gifted. If OJ is a murderer he still kicked ass at football right? Appreciate God’s work in people, even if the person themself ain’t shit… VJ
…
By the way MJ is innocent!! Fuck them lying ass kids!
Back to the subject.... Joe Bruce go fuck yourself man. There is no Heaven that would let in anyone who raped kids, man. Even if Michael Jackson's music helped to save the lives of 6 million children, taking advantage of one child like that dooms you in the moral zone. That should be a black and white issue to EVERYONE.
Joe Bruce said in some interview years back that he was positive that Michael raped the children. He even said something like "Michael blew that kid's dickhole out" or something. He also publicly changed his tunes years later. The man is always contradicting himself. Wish I could find that interview. Maybe it was in the book.

Seriously, though, you guys really need to get on Pigg's level. He's soooooo much easier to work with and genuinely puts in so much effort into what he's doing. Never has a problem telling me what he needs, the mic he uses sounds so much better, he puts much more effort into recording dubbs and adlibs, finds samples to add for effect, extremely polite and shows so much respect for it. Like, he tends to take his art more seriously than a lot of people who claim to be serious artists do.
Kracalla's a producer, I'm sure he understands where I'm coming from.
A lot of variables go in to a properly produced song. Equipment, Mics the Artist themselves staying in the pocket when rapping..ect. The most important thing as a producer is to have the ability to look an artist in the eye and be like, No, that verse or hook needs a little work, I want you to come in like this..A producer directs the talent.
DJ Scrubb could only do so much with multiple people using different methods for recording vocals. For what it was, I think he did a great job putting together those projects. You can tell he ran some people's verses through a phaser to give it more depth and Dynamic range.
When it comes to artistry, I joke about certain people on here, but at the end of the day they're doing something creative and I'll never knock anyone for that. It may not be my cup of tea, but I can respect the effort. The world needs more creative types vs number crunchers, lol.
Usually I would do a final mix of a track I made with an artist, get everything about where I wanted it, then bounce out the Stem files to people who were light years beyond me in terms of proper mastering techniques.
Lucem, I tip my hat to you man. All your stuff sounds clear and properly leveled. Nothing over powers anything else in your songs. Consistency 100%.

I have to disagree here. I think there are way too many artists that care less about creating and more about exploiting for financial gain and glory which has wound up over-saturating the market with passionless produce. So when something isn't up to par it's fair game to give an honest opinion in hopes that they give up because if they do they never really cared for it in the first place. We don't need this much creativity with in this specific area and we absolutely need more people passionate about crafting and fixing and cleaning or what ever. I think we're all sick of mediocrity bragging about being 'god tier rap' rather than working on polishing their skill because they don't truly have any kind of passion for the art. It'd be much cooler if I could get somebody bragging about being a 'god tier' plumber that can fix the shit out of my pipes. You'll notice that the things that people tend to have the most 'passion' for are the things that they believe will lead them into fortune and fame.
TL;DR-People that don't care about their art shouldn't do art.

This is why i dont rap.
It might be fun to write a few lines here and there See how i can make a verse work when i get inspired to write something.
But i just dont care enough to get good at it or practice flowing or anything like that.
And as a fan of rap. Im tired of mediocre mother fuckers bragging about being gods gift to rap. Fucking dunning-krugar clique in the house.

Maybe I just don't understand what you mean as I'm literally the only "rapper" in my town and there are people who brag about doing other types of work.
Hell most people bragging are so full of shit anyway.

I'm not a plumber, but I do typically brag about what ever my job is if I'm good more than I do with music. More so I'm not passionate about plumbing and have much more passion with music. I honestly at this point really don't care about being a huge successful rapper, I want to be a producer that makes music. I want to get paid doing something I love doing with out having to deal with the attention of it. I've never found another line of work that gives me the same kind of fulfillment. Like, sometimes I'll kick ass at kegging or what ever and get a fraction of the feeling I get when I make a dope beat or song that I spend an hour straight jamming out to. Which is a feeling that I don't think passionless artists can relate to.
In general there are so many rappers out there. With you, I think you're lucky if you are the only rapper in your town. Every other person I know raps or has tried rapping. Which isn't a bad thing, having a creative outlet is always good. It's just that so many people only try it because they see it as a get rich quick scheme. Kind of like what's happening with Youtube which is why we're getting so many top 10 videos that often times have the same exact lists. I completely condone scrutiny or just plain shitting on art you don't like because if you get discouraged and quit you never really cared in the first place. With you, you've taken every bit of scrutiny and built from it because you actually care. Pigg, he puts so much effort into what he does and as far as I know it's just a hobby for him. Warlock has spent years catching shit and he's still making music. Though, he doesn't take criticism well and he did delete all of his music once, but it doesn't seem like he'll ever stop rapping. Essentially reality has to set in when you decide to make art that it may never ever grow into any type of career like most people think and at that point you decide if you still want to do it. With the way things are, I don't think we need more rappers because of the way a lot of the people who try it see it as an opportunity to exploit rather than a creative outlet.
