LOL I don't even want to speculate on what's going on or what the reasons might be, because half the time that just ends up being straight bullshit. I don't even want to gossip. Like Shaggy gaining weight...he just had major back surgery a couple years ago. That's when I noticed the weight starting to stack on. From what I see between this and his show with Keagan, he shows up, does his shit, and seems to genuinely care about what he's doing. I can't ask for much more than that.
J seems to, as well. When he's there and on point, it's completely cool. I'm watching their cooking show from a couple months ago, and it's pretty decent. I'm just questioning if maybe these Patreon things are doing more harm than good right now. I respect the fuck out of those dudes and still got mad love in my heart for them, so I don't want to turn into Chitty-Chatty-Kathy, worrying if they shaved their dick hair this month or not. It just seems like J has a lack of self-awareness right now, and that's worrisome.

Since when do we have to question whether or not J takes pills? He's freely admitted that about 9 million different times. That video of him "sneaking a pill on camera" is something I would assume has a prescription for and has to take his shit at certain times and so he did. I can't imagine he's THAT stupid where he'd just pop some other kind of pills he shouldn't be on right there with a camera pointed directly in his face.

Not liking something and thinking something is bad are two different things. I like a fair bit of the newer ICP stuff but I don't think it's as good as it could be and the most recent stuff they have released feel like J is struggling, with shaggy stepping up and becoming more of the face.
There are plenty of things I like that I know arent good: The fast and furious movies, the last limp bizkit album, McDonald's...
Also, it's clear a lot of people are concerned rather than being judgemental. This is one of the more positive conversations I've seen about this subject, but it's not just on this forum.

Why is everyone focusing on this pill shit? That's like 10% of this conversation. Who cares why he's all fucked up these days, the point still stands that he's clearly got some shit going on and it's affecting his work. You'd have to be fucking Stevie wonder to not be able to see it.
Personally, I don't give a fuck what it is, even if he's just not feeling the whole "violent J" thing right now and doesnt have a huge passion for it right now, I hope he can do what he needs to do, to make himself better. Maybe he's genuinely not doing too good and he's all fucked up. Take time out and fix yourself.
I'm not his fucking dad, if he wants to have a heroin addiction, then he can do whatever he wants but don't expect me to support something for 25+ years and not be able to tell when something isn't right.
I've said it before but go back 4 years and watch those solo videos he put out, then compare them to these streams, it's like 2 different people.
Whatever it is, illness, general wear and tear, drug addiction, fatigue, boredom... Take some time off. Can't keep watching this guy slobbering when he talks and putting visibly less effort into the music, just so he can make some money.

Honestly, I think J was on uppers in 2017 when he made all that solo stuff. He was STILL acting super erratic, lost a bunch of weight really quickly, and just seemed all over the place.

J's been on and off his whole career, he has massive swings toward the better and again toward the worst. Touring for Milenko and the whole nyquil fiasco was one era, he slowly crawled out of it between that and the early pre-Shangri-La era, went back into it not long after and had like two more dips into it before the aforementioned 6 Foot 7 Foot, "I'm a real rapper now" era... Poor guy's always had a really rough time maintaining a positive and healthy outlook. Trauma and poverty will do that to people. Fear of both success and failure.
He always goes into a new era with a bright outlook, but I think eventually the fear of maintaining success takes him down when he realizes he has to do something to maintain it and then he swan dives into.. Whatever he does to self soothe (not gonna speculate).
His interest in young girls is and always has been a huge problem, and is a totally separate thing that needs to be addressed. He really doesn't seem to think there's anything wrong with it, but it was gross when he was in his 20s and it's much worse now. That being said, as long as he's judt ogling and not exploiting impressionable under age girls, it is what it is for now.
I really hope that once Corona calms down he has the chance to have another upswing. He's gonna have to learn to live with a dwindling juggalo family, we're all only getting older and the chances of us coming back in any meaningful way gets lower and lower as time goes by. If someone is gonna bring it back to anything like what it was back in the day, it's not gonna be ICP that does it. I hope he can learn to live with where he's at eventually and be the J we all know and love to the best of his ability.
