I’m a definite rarity in that I think The Wraith might actually be my favorite ICP album. I’ve gotten way into the others, but this was the first one that really clicked with me. Maybe it just came at a great time for me, a time where I needed the positivity and not so much the wicked. On the same end, I kind of hate Hell’s Pit.

Random question someone here may know…is there a reason why The Wraith and Hell’s Pit are the only albums not on spotify?

I like Hell’s Pit but it seems like whenever i listen to that record, something bad always happens to me somehow someway. obviosuly all coincidences but still….it’s creepy

That’s funny you say that. When Hell’s Pit came out I was having all sorts of weird, not so good shit happen to me and it was an odd time in my life. Even though I really enjoyed Hell’s Pit, I associated all those times with that album and was basically afraid to listen to it for about 10 years. I’ve gotten over it and have listened to it several times over the past couple of years, all is good.

Shangri-La has always been my fav and when Hells Pit dropped I hated it soooo bad! 10 years later (like 2 years ago) I gave it a second go and sure enough being in a different place in life that shit was AMAZING! So I get what you mean about the right timing… right now I dont think I could get that into it again but Shangri-La will always be amazing to me no matter where I am on my journey in life, lol.

I’ve always wondered this… does anyone have the answer? and why are the cover art and track names wrong on some albums? Who the hell uploaded that shit and how can we get it fixed? lol.

Same here about hells pit. When it came out all this crazy stuff was happening in my life. Looking back now, as a born again Christian who believes Jesus and satan are real, I’m not surprised an album of hell and the devil traumatized me a bit. I can’t listen to it anymore. Too depressing and I used to bump it all the time. I can’t just bump it anymore like it’s a normal ICP album without feeling convicted. But that’s what hell is, an eternity of torment and despair. I wouldn’t wish that on anybody. I feel the same for Lotus now with all the occult shit that I now have more understanding of but that’s a different topic. But I remember juggalos saying Lotus was messing them up too. Music is a powerful thing for sure.

Anyway Shangri-La. It was the final curtain call to an era for those who were around to experience the countdown. ICP went into hiding, J was running and brainstorming, everybody was waiting. When they came back J lost hella weight and they had new different paint looks (which they should consider doing again, it was dope). I cried as Thy Unveiling was going on. The album really put me in a good mood back then for a couple years at least. It was also the last high energy album they’ve made. Not quite Milenko or Jeckel Brothers energy but up there.

Good point. I had little concept of reality back then and was way too deep in evil and drugs. Thankfully God loves stupid people and opened my eyes to me throwing my life and soul away. I’m not blaming the music. Now I can understand what they’re saying.

Shangrila came at a wonderful time in my life. So it will always be my fave era since I been listening. Hells pit I was going through a break up and I just connected with that cd so well. One thing i’ve really disliked about icp is over the years I don’t know why they didn’t mix it up.. maybe one year a wicked cd and one year a positive cd. I’ve been listening to alot of shit seven has produced recently (rittz and krizz kaliko) and if he can produce shit like that, I know he’s definitely got it in him to create an album that is a straight up banger for ICP. I’d be interested just to see what seven can do as a whole for icp. One of my biggest wishes when I was younger was having seven produce for icp and I thought he’d make magic with them, some tracks he does and some just don’t work imo. J just needs to call seven up and say, hey man produce a bunch of shit that you think we should sound like and send it over.

Fuck this edm style bullshit that we got on lost, everything on found was dope that seven made.

Letting it marinate for a few years made me like about half of Shangri-la but that’s the best it ever got to me. When it first came out I really didn’t like any of it. Fitting what seems to be a pattern on here, Hell’s Pit hit me like a good Jokers Card does. It fit perfectly as the soundtrack to my life at the time so going back and listening has a strong bias from me.

On a story level, it has a much more rewarding “end” to the ICP characters. After all the shit they’ve done over the years, at the end of it, they’re busted and bloody without their makeup because the negativity they basked in pulled them away from the Carnival, which was the reason they started basking in it in the first place. Pretty fucking poetic really. Much, much better than “Hey, we’re in heaven now and we don’t care if you buy our action figures.”

I don’t know about the juggalos for Jesus thing. I shouldn’t have even said I’m a Christian ninja. I’m not trying to mislead anyone into thinking merging the 2 is cool because it’s not and they don’t mix. ICP arrogantly thanks the ‘dark carnival’ in their booklets at this point. They used to just thank God. God is God. Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Not the dark carnival, not allah, not buddha, not karma, not anyone or anything else. All that is blasphemous and leads straight to hell. I heard J had a Jesus tat but that doesn’t mean anything if he never stands for Him and continues misleading people by some make believe dark carnival fantasy that we waste our time trying to decipher like it means anything. The blind leading the blind into a pit while they get paid. The Word of God stands as is. They’re frauds. False prophets. I’m not a juggalo anymore. I’m a Christian. I truthfully can’t even stand any of this ‘cult’ure anymore since it leads to more sin like everything else that’s fake. Their crooked operation will fall. And no I’m not perfect I got my own things to deal with. But this needed to be said. I’m out.

Sorry man, as Christians we are called to “Try” and walk a righteous path. not called to be perfect. I find no issue in being a Juggalo and a Christian in fact I work at a church, I curse and commit sins. Why? Because I am not perfect. Church is not for those that are already saved, it is for those that need to be saved. If you feel confident in your position right now to face God that is great for you. I am a work in progress and will never be able to face him. When I get there I will hang my head and hope that I can at least honestly say “I did my best”.

I have heard a lot of interviews and they are always referring to God or The Creator(same thing). And just to be blunt with you and say something that ALSO needs to be said. You have now casted a stone of judgement, something that as Christians we should not do. It is not our place, it is God’s place and you are arrogantly whether it be on purpose or inadvertently trying to deny him that right. If you wish to preach you should first practice that which you preach about. Not sure where you worship but they are definitely leading you away from the light.

Matthew 7: 1-5

“Do not judge so that you will not be judged. “For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. “Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
“Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? “You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

I don’t worship the dark carnival?lol

And I would venture to say icp “preach” from more of a … Metaphorical level?  I’m not real religious but I do fear my judgement. I get through life carrying basic good morals, and teaching my kids the right shit.

A “Juggalo Christian” is actually a contradiction.
I shall post quotes when I get home.

Very interested in this actually. Because I always found both fit perfectly. You might be considering something I am not. Especially since Christianity is so widespread that there are over 100 denominations.

Remember the ONLY true definition of a Christian is someone that believes Jesus was the son of God. It doesn’t mean that they have to follow the Bible at all. The Bible is a tool and in no way, shape or form means you are not a Christian if you don’t read or follow it. The only significance is you won’t go to heaven if you don’t follow the commandments or repent for not following them. You can literally do ANYTHING and technically be a Christian as long as you believe Jesus is the son of God.

In otherwords there WILL be Christians in hell. This is exactly why I think people have so many bad opinions about Christians. You throw them in boxes and they are apparently all the same.

(By the way this is not preaching I am defining Christianity for you. I give a shit less what anyone believes here on a spiritual level. Religious beliefs are personal and should never be used to define someone. I was just pointing out you could even believe in the Fucking big bang theory and be a Christian.lol)

Ahh in that sense I’m wrong but if you are a bible believing Christian that feels it necessary to follow the rules laid out by God then…
I’ll still post some quotes when I get home.

P.S.
I’m an Atheist but have no problem with peoples personal beliefs unless their murderous or discriminative.

Yeah even priests can not follow the Bible . That’s why we basically have to beg mercy every week. The only person who was ever perfect to a Christian was Jesus.

Also that’s cool man my best friend of twenty two years is an atheist.

Wait Jesus was a Christian? Always thought he was Jewish, you know “king of the Jews”. In fact he stated in the bible he wasn’t here to change a single law of Abraham or Moses therefore any Christian not abiding by strict Jewish law is not following Jesus. Right?
