Icp actually stuck with the concept for the missing link unlike twiztid's the darkness. The beats were better on TMS as well as the concepts. Niether ICP or Twiztid are that great of lyricist so I will say there is a tie there. Twiztid flows better than ICP so they whip missing link's ass there but the singing on missing link is way better. I personally like Missing link better than the darkness.

In your opinion. I still love the Darkness. I stopped listening to Lost with in a week. Found hasn't even been out for a week and I haven't even heard it yet.
Also, the Darkness did stick to it's theme. It just wasn't nearly as dark as people thought. Like, none of it was happy music. It's not some morbidly sick and twisted album like W.I.C.K.E.D., but it is a dark album.

The Darkness intro might be the gayest thing I've ever heard. Three or four jams I fuck with. The rest isn't bad but it isn't good either. I feel like they are trying to keep up with modern mainstream rap trends while staying dark. It comes off as desperate and lame most of the time.
All the anti-racist and redneck bashing ICP does on Lost makes them seem like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson on wax. They aren't even black so what the fuck do they know about discrimination? They were successful early on in life off the wallets of rich white kids. They only go on and on about racism because they are over compensating for their lack of street cred.. being white kids from the suburbs themselves. Plus the new trap beats do not last or have the depth of say... Mike E Clark. The third member of ICP and just as important to the group as J or Shaggy. Every album without him is only 2/3 ICP.
If I had to pick one I'd go with Lost though. Apocalypse and Falling Apart go hard and ICP are just being themselves. Business as usual.

thats not entirely fair. Id say they know all about discrimination. mainstream, raidio, MTV. etc.
you dont have to be black to know discrimination
having said that I do agree with you on the fact that they put WAY to much into it on this album

I hear you but they've been preaching that anti-racism thing since COC.
Right, they aren't exactly going out on new limbs with the subject matter. The flamethrower concept was genius though. Just wish they went beyond killing Bubba and Hoss.

I'm gonna go with The Missing Link . Don't get me wrong, Darkness lyrical is superior. However I feel its theme wasn't executed as well as what it could have been. Plus the skits seem annoying. Way to many. I just don't view it as the so called "Soundtrack to Hell" Missing Link I can play front to back easily, and the ending of I see the Devil made me emotional in a good way. Plus it was interesting to see ICP channel some emotion. Not to mention it was a huge step up from The Mighty Death Pop.

And again, so Twiztid sticking to their roots by keeping the same grungy rock sound they've always had, bringing back the same funky sampling hip hop shit from the early H.O.K. days and the same gothy dark beats the've done for a long time is selling out or trying to be mainstream but ICP literally jumping on the Trap band wagon that everybody in the mainstream has done since Kanye popularized that specific Trap sound with Yeezus is them just being themselves? Ya full of shit.

Some guy said that on youtube before, I guess he's got the point for me as well - the difference between ICP and Twiztid in general is that I can feel ICP's lyrics, but most of Twiztid's lyrics don't stick, they're passing by too fast without really feeling them. So to me ICP wins almost every time (beside the fact that I do like Twiztid's music).
I'm not totally sure what the reason is. All of them are good rappers and I guess I'd agree, if somebody said Madrox is the most talented one. I love his voice (and do think that the difference between mono and madrox is fucking HUGE, much more than between J and shaggy), in many Lotus tracks he's my favorite. But within Twiztid it often feels like they don't have a clear concept for some songs, to me it often sounds kinda random. Maybe it's because I'm not that into the fast rapping - even if there are good lyrics in it and it's sounding nice, I can't really feel them. ICP instead finds ways their rap gets to the heart. Of course not with every track, but more often than not. Twiztid is able to do that, too, but not as often and not as good overall as ICP does it to me.
And that's the thing with The Darkness and TMML. I really enjoyed Back To Hell, Down Here, On and On and a few other songs, but there is no song on it I'm appreciating like Falling Apart, Apocalypse, Vomit, Confederate Flag or even I'll Keep My Hatchet (cause of the outstanding chorus). To name a few. Found is too new to evaluate yet, but I like the concept (imo TMML:L&F has to be looked at as a whole) and really enjoyed the first listens. I guess I can already tell Im gonna be able to add several tracks off of Found (Lost At The Carnival, The Midway) to the list as well.
-> I like TMML better.
Nonetheless I'm diggin The Darkness and nonetheless there are things I'm arguing about on TMML, especially Lost sounds kinda rushed to me, too. But still a good record and to me the best Joker's Card of the new deck, that I'm starting to really enjoy.

1. Found
2. Darkness
3. Lost
I almost like A New Nightmare more than I do Darkness. Before Darkness and Lost I thought I would be listening to more Twiztid than ICP. Just based on what they both had put out I was feeling Nightmare more than MDP/ BPB. I really like those two albums, no doubt, but I was excited to see what Twiztid was gonna do after they left Psy - and i liked what I heard on Nightmare. When Darkness dropped I skipped 4-5 songs on the 2nd listen because i wasnt feeling the album as a whole. There are a few GREAT songs on that album, and i think those few songs shine more than anything on Lost /Found. I just think the whole album was solid, nothing great. I skipped just as many songs on Lost - if not more. I wasnt feeling Lost at all. And I can appreciate that ICP can be wicked, soft, evil, goofy.... Weve seen them mix it up over their careers and I like a good mix of their music.....Maybe thats why I'm FOUND and not Lost; Found has a good mix of songs whereas Lost felt like it was one giant ass song. Ive listened to Found about 5 times this weekend and theres only 2 songs that I skip: Pineapple Pizza and Juggalo Party. Neither of those songs are terrible, and I would rather hear those 2 songs than the ones I skip on Lost and Darkness. Found is the only one of the 3 that Im not skipping almost half the album.
Twiztid makes some great songs but most of their music, to me at least, hasnt aged very well. I dont know why, but when Ive got Twiztid bumpin I find myself skipping more songs than I used to. Even the Green Book, I dont even wanna listen to that album anymore cause I find I only listen to 5-6 songs on there. Freek Show, Mirror Mirror and Abomination are the only ones I listen to anymore. I dont know why but their music hasnt aged well. I dont know when the last I listened to Darkness was? I will be listening to it before Lost tho.
