Black Rain was cool but it just didn’t seem like a Lotus album to me. I liked the album but I just thought production wise, it was different. There weren’t any mysterious dark beats on there like Tales and Brotherhood that gave it a cryptic feel. I liked Black Rain, that tour was my first Lotus show and I got up on stage afterwards at the end of the show. Had a Lotus jersey too that got stolen from an e, I miss that jersey.

Agreed on that J verse… I only really like The Walls, Black Rain, Kaboom, Jump Off, Corrosion, My First Time… I guess Hell House ain’t bad.

Tales from the Lotus started off with that sick intro. it was eerie. it was a great set up for the album. gave me goosebumps. all the songs were mostly dark and evil feeling. except a few that had an upbeat feel like that “taste your blood” and “and we danced”. but overall that album was some of the PSY’s darkest work ever. “headache” is evil. “ali baba” is classic. “black magic” is wicked as hell. the album was a masterpiece.
“black rain” was actually good. it was a different direction. but it was still a good album. it had more fritz beats and some ROC production so of course it was different. but tracks like “black rain”, “kaboom” and some i cant remember right now were amazing. they did a great job.
“brotherhood” Was so monotone. nothing stood out to me. they tried to capture that dark feeling. it had that. but the beats were bland. and the vocals were monotone. nothing stood out as a classic. they had good concepts.
im curious to see where the new Lotus goes. i hope it has great beats and that dark feel.

I can’t wait for the new Lotus though. I hope it blows my wig and eyelids off when I put it in my CD player. Like my face just melts off me as the Lotus is bumping. Traffic honking at me sorry dude, my face is melting. I need to go to the hospital and get my face put back on because of this Lotus nuclear bomb went off in my speakers. Then I’ll jam out to it on my way home at low volumes just so the dopeness sizzles my skull some. That’s how mind blowing I hope the next Lotus album will be.

My Black Rain has it as The Walls too. Huh. Weird how there’s two different track listings, I never knew about The Whus or whatever. Black Rain starts off and ends great, the middle isn’t that great to me. Beats just sucked. Also, ABK spit at an all time low on that album, it’s like listening to mudface, which is equal to torture.
@ltb, dude, if anyone deserves an original version of TFTLP it is you my friend. You’re gonna love that shit when you get around to it. Had no idea used copies were so expensive online, I’ve always had the same copy, the one I got on the day it came out. Hope you find one soon, shit’s the shit.
