G’day,
First off since internet heroes need creds, yes I am the original WetSnatch. Down with the clown since the mid 90’s when the internet was slow as fuck. Not that any of you would remember me but I was a moderator on these forums back around 2002. The days of Diekon, Toxic, Stalkz, forget the dude that loved three 6, something ninja, missjuggalette, etc. I lost my password and the forums went to shit anyways, up and down, little action, etc and to be honest theres not a lot these days either. But I continued to stalk and read daily over the years as being an Australian this is the only place to find daily news. So after 10+ years in hiding, Im back to throw my 2 cents into the ring on everything going on in our world. It’ll be long and Im sure the mighty Scruffy will correct my spelling, fix my statements, or criticise me like I see him do to you all on the daily….perhaps its humour?
ICP – The second deck does not compare to the first. Maybe its cause im now mid 30’s, I dont know. I have paid $50 to import CD’s to Australia and watched you all bitch over paying $10. BUT I downloaded lost and found and have not listened to them properly, havent burnt them, nothing. Id never done that to ICP before but I hate the happy pop stuff. BPW an death pop at least had some bangers. But I llike the scary/dark beats and the lyrics to match and the vulgar humour. Anyways, these guys truely are the dons and I have love for them no matter what. Theres always good days and bad days, good releases and ones you just dont feel. However if it wasnt for them, none of this culture would exist and neither would many of the other artists. Most wouldnt have heard of many of the groups they enjoy or have enjoyed. They opened up a world and created a culture thats second to none. The first 6 cannot be fucked with. Noone has made albums like Milenko, Riddlebox, ever! Psychopathic is sometimes way too open with information like the march invites, J fucking Blahzay newsletter, etc but thats why you love them because there is constant news creating a connection. Honesty is not always the best policy but credit where credits due. Name someone else you like that treats thier fans like this.
Twiztid – Seriously after mirror mirror they did nothing good until abominationz which surprised the shit out of me. A masterpiece. But theyve done nothing good since except rehash old shit or make new shit thats tryhard serious “im so horror” rubbish. Theyve taken jabs for years at psychopathic, now they are signing scraps to bank off you and feather thier nests. Go back to interviews 10 years ago where they used to say “Those AMB kids are whack as fuck but that Boondox guy can rap his ass off”. They hated AMB and said theyd never guest on thier albums, they dogged the ROC to become twiztid, they treat you with contempt and make fun of you on the radio shows, seminars, concerts and interviews. They are running a business. They do owe everything to ICP and Psychopathic. They did put them in every interview, magazine, promotion etc to get them going. Hell they even had them pretend to be road crew and throw them into the ICP set in Europe! Maybe they paid their dues but dont shit on what made you. Mkae your own mark now, but loyalty and respect are what this culture is meant to be about. Although loyalty outside of Blaze has never been thier quality i.e. ABK, Lavel, ROC. Tom Dubb anyone? Takes 2 to tango yo! Signing young wicked and denying the march are major bitch moves and I dont really feel the march but respect what its for. And whats with the Australian store? These guys wont leave the states, they are pussies but want our money. They cant give you a show anywhere outside of the states but want your fucking money. The only reason they went to the UK is what I previously said about ICP putting them out there and that was 16 years ago. C’mon now.
Blaze – Lazy as fuck. A good song here and there but no decent album since 1 less G. Hes a farmer not a hunter. And thats okay every workforce needs that. He just wants to do his job, get paid and see his mates. He has no aspirations to be king. He cant catch and kill his own.
ABK – I couldnt wait for his solo shit after being on 1 less G and the old school foo dang but he never made a song as good as one of those guest spots. He was very juggalo popular though until he shot himself in the foot. He was number 3 and left. Did the lavel shit. Lavel joined the God squad, Esham became a chef and ABK came back at the bottom with twiztid saying theyd never work with him again and cutting him out on the hard road. Clearly his deal relies on him running his own ship through native ink with distribution through Psy.
Young Wicked – What a silly silly boy. How could he do such a thing to his existing personal family fullstop, but then how stupid t do it with his employers/mates family. Its like double dumb. Then tripple or nothing to run off to MNE. He was starting to make great beats and music IMO. Starting to pave a road and Psy where pushing him hard. I often wondered where the hell his brother was. Was he shitting on him or what? Anyways a snake is a snake. Ask Alex Abiss.
On Alex, he should go to the fucking march! And faygoluvers should track him down for a detailed interview! Like Horrorcore.com did in the old days with HOK walter.
TechN9ne – Has not done a fucking good album since absolute power. After that every album became a typical collabos rap album. Kaliko all over his shit signing the soft RNB every fucking chorus and rappers just rapping about shit. The songs dont have meaning to me, they arent collective or paint a picture. He can put out an album every 6 months because he only needs 12 verses, everyone else does the rest! Credit though for touring hard and building an empire. Even if you do leech off of Juggalos. Whats with not ever paying ICP back with a guest spot? Ill tell you why cause it dont mix with them mainstream artists. Seriously think about how psy have included him, now ask yourself, whats one thing hes done with them through strange including past or present artists, tours etc. He did sell out well and fucking truely but power to those who still enjoy the music.
Hopsin – LMFAO anyone spotted the trend? He’s so hard done by. Every label, every artist, every firend, has dogged him and become a foe. He’s gotta be greedy and a cunt to work with.
Other PSY & MNE artists – I wont speak on because I either havent heard thier music or dont rate them.
At the end of the day this is just my frustrated opinion and while I dont enjoy ICPs new music as much as the old, seriously who paved the way? Who returns the favour? Who treats thier fans the way they do? Who is marching for you? And dont say Esham started the world like the big bang theory – None of us would really know who he was if J didnt suck his balls in all the old interviews back in the day. Hes got no one to be bitter with but himself for making dumb arse decisions his whole career.

I mean, the same could be said for your counter argument. “They all have families etc” gets tossed around a lot. Not making the case for or against, I’m just saying attacking his viewpoint as tired old shit while recycling rhetoric is a flimsy leg to stand on. Dude states clearly that he downloaded Missing Link, but also hates the happy poppy sound. If he knows thing one about those albums then I imagine pressing play would be like yanking off a particularly contentious bandaid. I still tell motherfuckers that Found is my favorite Katy Perry album.
I do give him props for hanging around the FLH for so long. See, people like to forget because it seems nerdy in retrospect and most people have twatlers and failbooks now, but when I was young juggin’ messageboards were the only way to clique up locally that wasn’t a show. Now that I’m done licking WetSnatch’s butthole(?) I can say that I don’t agree with everything he said. I for one love what Twiztid is doing with their horror shit, from openly working with Kane Hodder to interviewing Scream Queens to getting props in places like Rue Morgue Magazine. I always considered Juggalos to be kissing cousins with the broader horror culture and Twiztid is only just now doing things with it that I anticipated Psychopathic would be doing ten years ago. So I’m loving it.

If that’s all you got out of my post then I didn’t articulate my messag(s) very well did I. In fact I said whilst I think TMML albums suck, I will always respect ICP and everything they’ve done and why.
By the way, call me crazy but when I like a band, I like them for a reason, for what they are and what they are creating. Not what they may become. Just another perspecitve on this.
You talk about the second deck not comparing to the first, but hold on. CoC and both of the Wraith albums are good but really aren’t up to the same standard. Certainly you can’t say the Wraith is so much better than BPB or MDP. Which is to say, when we’re talking about ICP in their prime, we’re talking about a run of 4 albums over a 5 year period from 1994-9. Plenty of artists have had good runs like that, but how many of them are still around 25 years later? It’s worth thinking about why ICP are one of the only ones that are. I mean, yes, almost everyone would say ICP hasn’t made anything as good as those 4 albums since. But they have made some pretty good music since then. And if they had taken the approach of just trying to recreate Great Milenko, Riddle Box, Jeckel Bros. over and over again? It would have been stale as fuck, they would have hated doing it, and there would be no ICP today, guaranteed. ICP has always been about J following his imaginiation and inspiriation above all else. It may not always lead to places that you like, but as soon as he stops doing that and starts trying to make music to please people who are bitching, that’s the end of ICP. Speaking as someone who is relatively new to the scene and can look back at the whole catelogue without having so many attachments and memories, I also honestly think TMML:found is the shit. It’s totally different from anything they’ve tried to do before but it’s so fucking right on and perfectly captures the feeling they were going for. I’d rank Ringmaster and Milenko above it, but I think it’s on the same level as Riddle Box and Jeckel Bros.
Totally disagree with you about Tech. He’s paid his debt in full by coming to the Gathering every year, showing his love for Juggalos and busting his ass to put on a good show. Even his new albums always have a lyric or two about Juggalos. The way he does it is the definition of showing the proper repsect and all Juggalos should respect him for it. Musically, every single album he’s ever put out his entire career has been hit or miss- some bangers on there, and some crap. I agree that his more recent stuff has gotten more miss and less hit, but still there are always a couple of bangers on every album that rival his classic stuff if you listen to them with an open mind. It’s nothing to sit around bitching about, that’s for sure.

I do agree with a fair amount of this. For me ICPs prime is ringmaster to jeckle including all eps, forgotten freshness, rydas and lotus. I don’t like the wraith much but love hells pit. Then I know there was great songs but they seemed lost until the second deck. I enjoyed bpw and mdp but it’s more pop and less rap or rock. I dislike the god stuff but everyone’s doing it now lincluding tech, hed and marz.
I don’t find the same music stale. I like stuff for a reason not what I think or hope it may become. Previous point already made. Artists do change though with wealth, age and families so it is what it is. It’s just not why I liked them and in ICPs case they aren’t wicked clowns anymore. I still love and respect them though.
my point about tech is – they put him on albums and shows. Why doesn’t he do it back? He has people all over his shit and can’t make his own albums anymore so why not have them on his shit? The sad thing about tech is he claims to be underground and dark but is just like everyone else now.
i guess everyone agrees about my twiztid / psychopathic v2 comments though.
