I guess the themes could be similar, but there is nothing similar with the musical style of Hell Awaits and Diabolus at all.
Exactly, they progressed a lot between Hell awaits and Diabolis in Musica. God Hates us All is another example of them being influenced by Nu metal, they had just come off tour with Slipknot and seemed to take a lot from their style and mix it with their own. I guess if you’re not a Slayer fan you can’t tell. I don’t know man, it’s pretty obvious to us!!
