I will confess to using "totes", "preesh", "cray", and "probs" in lieu of totally, appreciate, crazy, and problem(S). However, I do so either to be ironic or as part of inside (sort of) jokes with my friends. Examples, "totes magoats" as in "you should totes magoats pass me them Doritos son" or "what's your probs hobbes?" Whenever someone does something stupid. i use cray just to be funny, as in "bitches be cray" lol. Preesh is however something I say just as everyday lingo, no joking involved.
I have found in the course of training new hires who are under the age of 20 that if you don't use most of those plus numerous others you are in fact in the minority even if its ironic. I cant count the number of English language abortions I use on a daily basis just to communicate with them in a manner they will quickly comprehend. It does annoy me when they seep out in casual conversation with people not in their cohort by a few decades because then I have to go back and explain the abbreviation which is significantly more complicated then just saying probably for instance.

I can undertstand shortening most of em if your into the whole brevity thing(tip of my hat to The Dude) but cray? Your leaving one fucking letter out lmao. Just say the extra zzz. It doesnt take that long.
As louis ck pointed out we do this with phrases now. Instead of "when in rome, do as the romans do" its now be become "when in rome". "Lead a horse to water" etc etc
edit* before pigg points it out add e's where necessary
^^^This right here
*Looks at above post* Well so much for brevity...

Im suprised that no decent rappers entered this contest. AMB easily won this, no need for them to cheat. There was zero competition. I don't understand how a chance to be signed to the biggest underground label with such loyal, die hard fans didn't attract higher caliber talent. I mean could you imagine if a decent underground rapper like Yelawolf, MGK, hell even someone like Lil B entered this. They for sure would be richer than any of them are now. all three of them would of been more successful on psychopathic than they are buried on the mainstream labels they've been stuck on. I get it that there isn't really any prestige by being signed to Psy, but the money is there. Don't see how manager of a REAL rapper with real talent hasn't realized the money that could be made by signing with psy. In the Land of the blind, the man with One eye is King

lol im not surprised they had a weak turn-out.. psy set-up & advertised it horribly.. "we only accept original songs, no samples, send us your 3 best songs, & signing the terms of agreement your signing the full rights of your best songs over to us just to be considered for this competition. oh yeah & if you win we can take the 50 dope wicked songs you record trash em & instead of making you into the demonic figure you wanted to be your gimmick is an emo gay guy.. & we're only releasing an EP" yeah with zero creative control promised its no wonder there wasnt a good turnout..

If a dope rapper ever approached psy, J would shit his pants. Look at the amount of praise given to vanilla Ice.
the MGK / yelawolf thing was an example, MGK was like 10 yrs old when that contest dropped. But it still doesn't negate the fact both have been on major labels for years with no success.
