scruffy is in one of the most thankless positions that it’s possible for a human being to be in: an authority figure in a community of Juggalos.  Speaking as someone who certainly isn’t in scruffy’s “club,” if such a thing exists, IMO he’s a huge factor in keeping this place going, in terms of welcoming new people, keeping the worthwhile discussions going on, and shit like that.  If you value this community and you’re bitching about scruffy, you need to get your head out of your ass.

‘authority figure’ is a pretty big stretch.  basicly…  naaah.

Like it or not, that’s what it is.  You’re a moderator, and more importantly the most active presence around here and a high status guy.  The rest of us can simply have certain people who we get along with better than others and no one would even notice, but if it’s you, you’re playing favorites, or it’s the scruffy “club.”  

For example, nobody questions the relationship I have with @sean-law or @randy-gall, which is very exclusive from other forum member’s perspectives.  Nobody even wants to know whether it’s a sexual relationship, or if it’s sexual for some of us but not others, and maybe it will become sexual for the others in the future but for now they just get bored during the sexual parts and wait for them to be over while doing things like trying to name all of the ICP songs from the first six in alphabetical order or something like that.  To say nothing of the fact that Randy is extremely overweight and so any sexual activitity with him that involves more than one partner practically requires an engineer to sort out (luckily Sean is very handy… in more ways than one <3).

But the irony is,while you have a few people you get along with better than others (like anyone else would), I completely agree that the most legit definition of the scruffy “club” is pretty much anyone who sticks around here and doesn’t try to fuck shit up.  Like you said, you’re cool with anybody in that category and you show it, and I have a lot respect for that because it’s more than most people could manage.
