I’ve been a supporter for five years but when I did, I noticed a lot of hostility between long time supporters and newer supporter because a lot of the ones you hear about tend to act out and embarrass the entire group. I was worried i would be perceived in that way after people I attempted to talk to when I started out pretty much ignored me completely (on now defunct forums) I basically decided to keep to myself for a long time. I’ve never been to any shows, I don’t have any friends outside of the internet who are juggalos and I’m only now just starting to try and start some relationships. But I allways listened to the music and that alone gave me all the reasoning I need to know I was a Juggalo even though you'd have no idea seeing me on the street.

right there is half the reason i started this thread, i wanted all the new kids to be able to let their names ring out for a second without getting hated on for it. even if they are embarassing spastics.
if there was ever any question in your mind, cq, rest assured, you have a place at the table.
its a really crowded table, though, so watch your elbows.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

I know you want new juggalos to respond, but I've been down since '94. I grew up in Michigan and I'm 38 years old so I had the advantage to hear early ICP before the rest of the country. Many of friends stop listening to ICP after Ringmaster. They thought ICP signing to Jive records was “mainstream”. There was a lot more “home grown” feel to their stuff with COC and Ringmaster.
Being a juggalo in the 90's felt more like a cult than a fan base. You felt different than Korn fans or Cypress Hills fans because there was so few.
I'm not sure about old juggalo vs new juggalo's stuff. Try not to get into that. All I care about is the quality of ICP's music.
Has ICP change? Of course. I remember when it was just J and Shaggs. Then Twiztid and Blaze arrived….shit change right there in 97-99..not for worse either. The company grew as planned.
Is ICP's music today different than the 90's? Depends on your interpretation of “different” You have this in their music…
1- Subject matter of the song
2-Beats
3- Lyric
4- The Flow of the lyrics ( how they spit it)
But as for new juggalos vs old juggalos I really don't care. Also remember, youtube didn't arrive until like 2005 or so. Twitter in 08?? All you had back in 1995-2004 was chatroom or email. Internet was new.

soooo…
the other half of my reasoning for starting this topic: everybody go through these responses and count the number that are really from NEW juggalos. relatively few. most have still been around for five-ten years. and thats after specificly asking for new kids, and exhorting them to step up.
for those of you who think icp or psy is mainstream now, and theres too many new ninjas, and the new ninjas are fuckin everything up, i say this thread pretty much settles the matter. if the new kids represent some kind of confused new wave of juggalo culture, they are keepin fairly quiet about it.
in fact, it seems to me that if anything, older ninjas are backlashing against… nothing. giving the new kids shit because theyre new, and make easy targets. this isnt school, this is home. when new family comes into the home, you dont diss, you nurture.
food for thought.
