When somebody says, “[so-and-so] has a 1st hand account,” they’re really saying, “I have a 3rd hand account.”

Would be a great “set your mind at ease” ending to the story. But they’ve done shows without soda before. Going with your theory, Its possible that the drivers were also the stage hands, hence lack of help/crew.
They straight up cancelled a show in San Diego a few years ago when the venue freaked out about the faygo

Violent J just explained everything on Twitter:
I wanna say why we cancelled 4 shows tho some of the rumors are way cooler than reality. All though both are fuckin crazy, neither my deadly drug problems or Shaggy and I’s epic fist fights are why. My massive heart attacks or the terminal skin cancer ain’t why either…..
The real reason is much, much more serious… we’re scrubs. Half our crew- sound and stage manager included- couldn’t clear customs. We tried one show without them and failed hard…..
I already wear hearing aids due to decades of ear damage and here it was so loud on stage, my brain was spinning in my skull. My eyeballs started blinking “JACKPOT” and my teeth poured outta my mouth. I walked off once to complain, but the venue’s house man only spoke Canadian.
Soon I was enjoying a full fledge, fun as fuck panic attack. Finally I walked off and went home to clean my ears with a power drill. We hired guys who can clear customs and stand in for our rejected rejects and now the tour rolls on!
We apologize for any bones caused by the postponed dates. 3 of the 4 will be made up by the year’s end. It ain’t Canada’s fault either, They face the same bull shit tryna cross to us. It’s my fault only and I’m sorry. At least we’re all good now, so let’s boogie!!
P.S. As soon as this heart attack goes away, I’m gonna finish smokin’ this fat meth ball and sucker punch Shaggy! Word! … VJ

went to the show last night… Esham was on for a little too long and really needs to organize the order of songs that are performed. I marked out when he did Comerica and people looked at me like i was fucked on drugs ( whaddup fam ! )
ICP set was cool some milenko, sprinkled with some other flavor..highlight was the neden game /( violent j tellling shaggy this song fucking sucks ) and the great show ( the casual wwf fans in the crowd ‘isnt this the wrestling song”? — i got popped in the head with a full 2 litre, made my neck twitch lol.
everything was cool , at one point the lights went out and everyone had thought violent j walked off again but some idiots threw faygo on the soundboard so they had to cover the soundboard up then the show resumed but no one really seemed to notice.
merch was typical HG shit with the exception of a flip the rat ladies t , and those joker card all over print jackets
small crowd, they only announced the move to guelph like 2 days ago and its a bit of a drive from toronto-hamilton for some people. i didnt mind since ive got family out that way , i went said whaddup….
sandman was an opener, he takes popular rap songs and puts juggalo twists on them –
robbie g is a guelph rapper/concert promoter – he’s the reason icp was there the first time and this time..his set is pure hip hop but he can perform quite well..
