wen they first started out they asked Juggalos to request them on TRL so that maybe their video culd get played on MTV
That was in 2000/2001. Not exactly when they were first starting out.
Also wen an actual company steps up and sincerly wants to sponsor ICP and pay for their Tour Bus, Tours, JCW shows, Movies, Videos, and most importantly the Gathering of the Juggalos then most definately they have become Mainstream.
They can't afford to have corporate sponsorship of the Gathering. They tried to put one over on us a couple years ago by calling it "The Gathering Music Festival" and people got pissed and they eventually changed it back to "The Gathering of the Juggalos". So yeah, it'd get them some money in the short term but I don't think the backlash would be worth it.

Well if you're talkin about wen ICP wuz Signed 2 Disney, Jive Records, Island/Def Jam then that wuzn't really wuznt mainstream. Those 3 record companies just fuked them ovr royaly. Disney pulled their record just hours after itz release. Jive Records only put out ICP'z album rite their in Detroit and didn't even try placin their album NE where else, and Island wuz the closest thing to being treated like actual rappers who can rap up until Island merged with Def Jam then ICP wuz put right bak on the Bak Burner and didn't even exhist to Def Jam. So I wuldn't really call that Mainstream. I wuld call that getting the shaft from the record labels.
all mainstream rappers/musicians deal with some sort of label bullshit so your arguing against your point

a cross between Understream and Mainground lol... they definitely are MUCH more exposed to the masses but in like a B Star type of way. They have'nt changed their styles enough to be considered sell outs or anything. The style has changed naturally, just like Twiztid changes up on every record, ICP just changed up slower than Twiztid does

Mainstream? Deffinately not, they are in no way at all the definition of a mainstream group. Underground? That's arguable, most people, at least where I come from, know who ICP are and what a Juggalo is. But really, who cares? It don't matter how mainstream an artist is, or whether they're underground or not, it's about the music.
