These track list comparisons are cool and all, but it's apparent that we all have differing opinions.

Why not discuss each individual track for what they are?

well, yeah.  thats more or less the idea.

Why not discuss each individual track for what they are?

no reason we cant.

i spose ill do just that.

the missing link - shows that they had a slightly different concept goin for this card, at some point.  seems like maybe they thought it was a lil too close to bang pow boom or death pop.  i digs it, though.

six pedophiles - beat sounds like some esham shit.  some twenty-years-ago esham shit, not whatever hes doin now.

the monster - this is another song that is just sort of a description of whats goin on, and except for the chorus, hasnt got much to do with the premise.  for this track, i think its a case of 'less is more', cuz your mind fills in the horrible abuse as a contrast to all the cool shit happenin without the monster.  so all the brutality is left to your imagination.  [also, i think this song mighta got left off cuz someone tapped j on the shoulder and told him that the word 'humility' doesnt mean what he thought it did.  he uses it like its synonymous with 'humiliation'.  but im a word fetishist, so...]

whyd i have to die - love this concept.  shows the downside to the heaven concept;  this is somethin ive talked about for years, the idea that a perfect afterlife is not necessarily a given.  thats how i take it, anyways.

the dream - dooope.  love it when they throw in stuff that just generally trippy.  beat is kinda lotus-y [or maybe twiztid-y].  terrific song for smoke sessions.

the carousel - greatness.  based on chevy2dopes statement from page one, i put it at the end of that 'historical revisionist' mix, and i thought it worked really well as a closer.  dumb side note:  when i first heard murder go round, way back when, i was genuinely disappointed that it wasnt in 3/4 time [my fault for having an expectation, i know, but show me a merry go round that aint got 3/4 music].  this 'makes up for that', if you will.

im sorry - if this had a different/better beat, it would probably be my fuckin theme song.  even with the beat its got, its still a fuckin nice track that neatly sums up how i relate to the world.  i aint apologizin for shit, except when i do, and i aint apologizin for that, either.  i know id love to see this one live.  [is it just me, or did they re-use the 'hey!  whoooah!' bit from juggalo juice...?]

immortal - solid, solid jam.  the only real downside to this track is that is previously trodden territory.  but so what, its still good.

well, i was just gonna make a few notes on a few songs, but since i did most already...

lost n found intros - both are miles beyond the ones from the lps.  i dont know what happened here.  just stunned at the difference.

joey the butcher - good song.  no other notes, just good shaggy song.

let loose - kinda average.  zallright.  ive noticed recently that when kid otis' singing is limited to four bars, its much easier to handle.  thats four bars every now and then, not nine times per track, ten tracks per album.

dead heather - i like this song.  its kinda filler, not gonna be bumpin it for long, but its fairly good.

hooker - more or less filler.  not any better than most of the stuff on lost and found, but not really worse.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

Honestly if you just took the 6 tracks from "The Phantom" and called that the 3rd Joker's Card, it would be stronger to me than The Missing Link as it is. I'd rather have 6 tracks that are all awesome than 28 tracks that are hit and miss. Take this more as praise from me on The Phantom than a diss on TMML. I thought The Phantom was amazing.

ETA: In my opinion, the outtakes sound just like that: outtakes. The only one that I think holds up to the actual "Lost" and "Found" tracks is Six Pedophiles.

Twiztid are a lot of things, but "lazy" is not one of them. They are in a major restructuring period have still managed to put out 4 albums of music ("A New Nightmare," "Get Twiztid," "For The Fam Vol. 2," and of course "The Darkness") so don't be greedy. ICP just happens to put out a TON of music. A lot more than most bands. A full length lp should only be expected to drop every 3 or 4 years.

How the hell didn't "The Dream" make the cut? This song has the fucking best beat I've heard from the clowns in a long time. Sounds like some Opaque Brotherhood shit.

Finally got the outtakes and I'm like whatever on it. Some parts of it are really fucking dope but some are whack. Sometimes on the same tracks.

All I know is the intros should have been used and tracks like Missing Link, Six Pedophiles, The Monster, Why'd I Have To Die, Joey the Butcher, The Dream definitely should have been used over songs like I'll Keep My Hatchet, Neighbors are Fighting, etc etc

i havent had a chance to actually listen to the whole outtakes album back to back a few times yet, but from what ive heard so far, eh its not bad.

3 versions of TMML..... hmmm seems like the second deck is going to be 3 albums for every card.

3 versions of BPB (well 4 if you count nucelear)

3 extra cds on each of the 3 covers of MDP

3 versions of TMML

when what they could have done was take the ben 20ish track from all 3 MML cds and made one of their best works in years.

but that would have made significantly less money, and suing the FBI and getting die antwoord to the gathering is fuckign expensive.

how come when twiztid does this, people scream for blood. when icp do it 'OMG COLLECTORS MERCH!!!! ILL TAKE 10!!!!"

twiztid hasnt done this.  they havent recorded forty-sumn songs in the last year to do it with

also, i dont think anyone is screamin for blood, exactly;  and im real sure nobody is geekin about collectibility.

agree...ill keep my hatchet should have been on the outtakes or really not on either...such a horrible song...anyone of the songs u listed could have been in place of that song....neigbors is the other weakest track... would have been better without J doing the same repetitive lyrics....Scruffy did a good little remix of the track which I actually liked better...lol

joey the butcher is a cool track except that little jingle that young wicked sings in the beginning is lame imo .

Any list without Dreams Of Grandeur or Mr. White Suit is invalid.

Dude dreams of grandeur is grew on me i didnt like it at first.

ive since found that the song is decent, except that it still suffers sudden death at the outset of the chorus.  cut the end of the song off, it not so obnoxious.

Mr.white suits been cool since that first time i heard out ur car.

cant hack it.  cant.

What i dont understand is why alpt of ppl dont like the neighbor s are fighting. Its like one of my top 5 maybe from both albums

its a cheap gag that they coulda used on a lesser track and not wasted as much potential.  what you end up with is eight semi-tough-guy lines [and half a line for the chorus], all with no story and directed at nobody.

ever get a birthday gift in a big box, and it turns out to be a pack of baseball cards and a shitload of bubble wrap?  its like that.

i dig it, but only cuz its slightly above average, and most of the rest of the lp isnt.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

I really didn't have a problem with any of Found tbh...don't really get the hate for Mr White Suit and Dreams of Grandeur...idk maybe its cuz I actually like ICP's more experimental stuff personally that I enjoy it more...don't get me wrong I dig the wicked shit sound as much as anyone (The Dream should have been on Lost...can't think of a reason why they wouldn't put that on there...a few others from the Outtakes probably should have gone on Lost too but you could probably make valid points as to why they were left off...The Dream I can't think of a logical reason though unless it just wasn't finished in time or something and they wrapped it up later for the Outtakes album)...but anyways yeah I really didn't have a problem with Found at all lol a few weak lines here and there but that's about it...its all subjective though

lost - searching - found

who produced what tracks?

Thats how i feel about songs like bazooka joey or fonz pond.

Neighbors are fighting gives the album that lost sound. I think its supposed to make u feel violent.

It flows with the album. I think the next song is you should know. Kinda like the opposite. The rollercoaster of being "lost". Concentrated lost sound

YOU KNOW THEY AINT NO SUCH THING AS LEFTOVER CRACK!!!- Leftover Crack

I was guessing it was mostly little otis beats ..and I was sure they wouldn't scrap any seven beats.

now that you know who made the beats, does it change your thoughts on the outtakes?

whatever it was...I actually think its better than the album version..lol I mean it still needs a bit of work but i see where your going with it.

makes it not so repetitive...especially J's verse.

neighbors are fighting chorus could have gone a second time imo...

This is so much better than the actual albums. Give me a week and if I still like them then I will consider it a tie between Twiztid and ICP.
