If anybody feels like postin screenshots of the liner notes… that’d be cool. Enjoyed reading the song write ups that were posted in the news story/FLH homepage. I realize folks got better shit to do, of course, but thought I’d put it out there.

Seconding this request

There’s a thread about on the Gathering forum, but the Gathering is over and more people post here so have at it…

Decent looking anthology. Kind of regret not grabbing one.

Edit: Oh snap I thought this was the other thread.

I will definitely post pics of the liner notes if/when I receive the copy that I bought off a dude on the Psychopathic Museum FB page. It’ll probably be a little bit though, since I just paid homeboy this morning.

I was just about to quote that same request in the other thread lol. I’d love to know the other backstories as well.

Side note, I feel like someone from Psychopathic peeped my page and dug up better quality versions of the majority of these tracks lol. https://www.faygoluvers.net/v5/…..own-posse/

I wouldn’t doubt it man, without that page who knows if they would’ve even remembered those tracks existed

Hopefully we get CDQ versions of the rest of the unreleased stuff one day

And it’s bullshit how hidden the page is, who looks at anything other than the main page and forums anyway

Well FUCK, my edit to the original post didn’t save. Dammit.

Yeah I agree, unless I link to it, most people don’t know that even exists. I feel like other than the forums and news stories, nobody visits anything else unless they’re bored and just browsing around. Here’s the “main page” to it: https://www.faygoluvers.net/v5/…..derground/

5 out of the 24 songs are exclusive, so that isn’t terrible. Better than the last Forgotten Freshness lol. I’m surprised this isn’t a FF actually. The following songs haven’t been released online and is exclusive to this:

Knock Knock (actually an alternate version of the song Murder You)
Bloody
No Drama
Black Blizzard
Cream Filling

The following songs have been released but I personally never uploaded them:

Dirty and Stinkin’ (was on ODB’s solo album)
J’s Rock Track (actually a cover of Pearl Jam’s Not for You)
Swinging Hatchets (was on Fresh Kid Ice’s solo album)
JJ Song
Hurricane of Diamonds

Some songs on this release is VERY similar to what I uploaded (I’m not the original source of course but it’s still odd). ALSO, at the end of I’m Dead, is the outtake Kid Rock Message, which I also uploaded on the section. Kind of strange that’s not on the official track list.

It is cool though, that many of these songs segue into each other flawlessly. Pretty dope.

Also, make that 4 out of 24, not 5 out of 24. Knock Knock was leaked a few years ago upon searching for it. I’m surprised I missed that one.

Knock Knock was on “The Gatekeeper” aka The Shining demo
Personally, I think that The Gatekeeper is better than The Shining
Ice Cold, Spinning, The Gatekeeper, Knock Knock.. pure freshness
Idk how they got the axe but When I Rap and 4 the Hoes made the cut

Sorry, these aren’t the best quality but it’s the best I can do without a scanner. I personally wouldn’t have chosen light yellow lettering on top of a light blue background but what the fuck do I know?

Anyways, here’s the booklet. Hopefully I did this right.

Does VJ think he released his solo record at the 2011 seminar? He says that a few times. It was 2008. I’ll take what he’s having, please.

Yes vj thinks he gave the free album out at the 2011 gathering. Weird bc he can easily see the official shining was released in 2009 and no one at psy fixed it before printing

No prob. I get super geeked when people do shit like this. Of course, if I can I buy the shit but if it’s something super limited that not everyone can get their hands on, I personally really appreciate when someone else helps spread that rare flavor.

thanks for posting that.  i had no idea that Fresh Kid Ice passed away.  Crazy!  Wish they would of brought back Uncle Luke aka Luke Skywalker aka Luther Campbell, as well as, Mr Mixx for one last hurrah and an album.  Crazy…..had no idea that Chris died in July.  I never got to see all the original members together, but did see 2 Live Crew opening for ICP when they had toured Grand Rapids, MI at the Orbit Room I think is where it was.  Brother Marquis and Fresh Kid Ice – such a great show that was

I agree.  When people do share stuff like that, it does put a smile on my face, because Psy really does great work on their booklets and liner notes etc.  While it may be super limited, I was easily able to find it online and quickly downloaded it

Luther currently owns the rights to 2 Live Crew’s name and entire back catalog.

OK, “Bloody” is so fucking dope. J is the only motherfucker that can pull off sometimes going a little out of key when singing, somehow he makes it just sound like he’s some kind of fucking lunatic singing this shit. So props to him for recognizing that and letting it be, it fits. I think their music has been pretty inconsistent after Hell’s Pit. But, with that, they have turned out some (in my mind) instant classics. Shit that’s just dope and really cool that they are still coming up with cool original shit after all these years. I’d say “Bloody” fits right in there. I’d also say the same as the song “Phantoms”, “Lost At The Carnival”, and “In Yo Face”.

J’s memory is so messed up because of the Mandela Effect. You see, timelines are converging so things are getting pretty mixed up. I’m not sure if this is the original timeline, a hybrid, or the new one. In my timeline I specifically remember a joker’s card dropping called the Psychotic Spindel. I asked J at a meet and greet about it and he has no recollection of it. Super weird, can’t even find it on the web.

I remember it though, had so dope tracks.
